Original 'Games Channel' possible

Hudson Entertainment's Director of Marketing made some interesting comments recently regarding the possibility of a new channel going live on the Wii. John Lee, during an interview with Game Informer, replied to a question about original downloadable content on Wii from Hudson with "in the future, you should rephrase that question to: Are there any plans to launch original content on some downloadable service on the Wii, and you might get a different answer."

In response to the rumor created by Lee's statement, CVG asked Nintendo to comment on the situation. Nintendo said "We cannot confirm at this time in what format the new content will be delivered, but in the future there will be original games available for download through the Wii Shop." So, we might or might not see an original games channel per se, but we will see original content in some shape or form. Rock!
