1.5 update causing DVD/Blu-ray playback issues?
Several folks are reporting problems with DVD and Blu-ray movie playback after upgrading to the 1.5 firmware. Most problems seem be random freezes and pauses throughout the duration of the movie. While not everyone has experienced it (including me), enough people are reporting and posting about it to warrant the question regarding the 1.5 update.
Some speculate that the new firmware has not broken the PS3's playback capabilities perse, but has introduced a bluetooth glitch that appears during playback. Time will tell, but we would like to know if you've seen any playback issues since upgrading?
We're off to a Superman-athon on Blu-ray. We'll let you know if we see any hiccups.
