Microsoft launches Origami Experience
Fire up those download managers, folks. At least, all five of you with a UMPC, Vista, and a few minutes to spare. Microsoft has just released Origami Experience as a free download for you fortunate few, and if you're not yet acquainted with this program launcher / media browser, we recommend you peep our CES coverage of such eye candy here and here. Don't worry, we'll wait. Got it? Good, now just hit up that read link and prepare for some good times, and maybe a teensy bit of Sudoku.

yawn.... I am bored

Since it's called Origami, can I fold it up so it fits in my pocket? Origami is a solution to a problem that does not exist.

I haven’t installed the new program launcher yet but it looks as if it’s an improvement by leaps and bounds over the initial incarnation.

Err.. Apple Front Row, anyone? Sorry to be such a stereotypical Apple fan, couldn't resist given the number of ripoffs found in Vista.
Russell @ Jan 31st 2007 2:08PM
Are you stupid? MS has had Media Center XP since 2002 and it's always done way more that Front Row.
dimmy @ Jan 31st 2007 2:18PM
I agree with previous reply, are you stupid? Who is copying whom? MS has had their Media Center Extenders way before Front Row.

I didn't know that Apple had a touch interface for their ultra mobile PCs. When did apple start shipping ultra mobile PCs? oh wait.. they don't.. and they didn't.. you're such a mactard for even comparing origami experience to front row, when they're not even in the same market or for the same purpose. And Windows Media Center is leaps and bounds ahead of front row, since it was out first, and media center extenders were out and made before appleTV... sorry, but MS is leading the way with these innovations, not apple.
what a mactard!

Did someone call up Microsoft and ASK to put Windholes Media Player in their pocket? That thing is hideous.
THEY JUST HAVE NO TASTE.

I must disagree with Endgadget...VistGami devices shown at CES are actually quite good , and getting better all the time. Evolving.

eminem213486 @ Feb 1st 2007 6:16PM
the gripe with most people is why the hell dont UMPCs have 3g standard yet? i want something portable but MOBILE. it doesnt seem too hard to implement 3g in small cellphones now whats taking so long?
eminem213486 @ Feb 1st 2007 6:21PM
oh and btw, this shit wont install in Vista Ultimate... Says it requires a UMPC to install/run.
why dont we have touchscreens on our laptops yet?
