LG's Prada, now with DMB TV
We heard it was coming, now sure enough LG announces their DMB-packin' Prada phone looking every bit like that hasty mockup we rendered back in January. Besides a big floppy antenna to snag digital TV from the air, the new LG-SB310/LB3100 packs the same 3-inch touchscreen we know and love(ish) as well as the original's 2 megapixel camera and 12-mm thinness so in-ness these days. Yup, S.Korea first as these DMB handsets tend to go.

sleek. so when does korea share?
I, for one, welcome our fashionista overlords.
Also, "blah-blah iPhone better, blah-blah, iPhone sucks, blah-blah Blackberry does this AND, blah-blah Windows smartphone."
I keep feeling I'm forgetting something.
Oh, right. Palm. Eh, no big loss. ;-)
I think that this is a cool phone and watching tv on it makes it even cooler. I blah iPhone, but I blah this phone too.
Prada. What a waste of money. My phone is a cheap moto v551, that I have had for two and a half years and abuse regularly. There are actually chunks missing from the plastic on one side where it acted as armor in a motorcycle accident.
AND IT STILL WORKS GREAT. WHY WASTE CASH ON CR*P?
Why is it crap? Just because YOU don't have a use for it or because YOU can't treat your gadgets nicely it doesn't mean other don't have a use or aren't careful.
I like the Prada, it looks nice, the featureset seems decent, yeah, why not. However I would prefer if it uses Windows Mobile/CE. Or S60 or something like that.
@Colin: You missed out S60 and UIQ, those children of the great EPOC.
CLEARLY you can't afford a Prada, or even the iPhone for that matter.
LG FTW
Well, I wouldn't go far as calling it a waste
but it will be over-priced for sure just cuz it
has Prada logo on it.
I CAN afford Prada, but I WON'T buy it.
There are many people out there with money
, but not really into the lable.
Yes you get what you pay for,
but price isn't always directly proportional
to the quality.
Sometimes, you are just paying for the name.
And that's waste.
It's fine if you don't want it, some people that like this phone want it because of how sleek and minimal it is, and they are fine with paying a premium for good design just like people have with Apple.
They aren't necessarily just "into the name". The majority of phones out there have so many freaking buttons and lights on them that they just end up looking hideous.
So I see you use your crappy and cheap moto as "armour" when
you crashed your motorcycle. Good job! May be your riding ability is as questionable as your taste in mobiles
I think I'm beginning to get acronym'ed out. My first thought when I saw this post is what the hell does this phone have to do with the Dave Matthews Band?
And the first sign of technology burnout rear its ugly head. First you stop giving damn if you're up to date on all the cool terminology. The next thing you know you've got a VCR in your living room that you can't get to stop flashing 12:00.
you know engadget has been using the DMB acronym for a while now. plus, you do realize what year it is now, and youre still talking abuot VCRs? sorry mate, but you might want to catch up with times when browsing a blog like engadget
err... i think that was the point.
It turned out that the bulky black stick showing with the phone is not an antenna but a pen for writing recognition added to the much more refined touch sensitive screen. Check some more photos of it out from the following link.
