Obligatory Duh. Still tantalising.
Maybe they could go all Crackdown and sell the Leopard beta on new Mac Pros. ("satire")

Why is it that Apple has to take down their store website whenever they add a new product? Imagine if someone like Amazon did this for every new book that was added. Get with the times Apple!!!
weg @ Jun 11th 2007 4:08PM
While technically not necessary, it is a ritual that Apple has to keep following for historical reasons ;-).
TVGenius @ Jun 11th 2007 1:59PM
I'm due for a new Mac Pro next month... hopefully something cool. It'd be nice if starting today they'd throw in a free upgrade to Leopard when it's released.
Craig @ Jun 11th 2007 2:32PM
Why is the store down when no new products were officially announced by Jobs?
Gordy @ Jun 11th 2007 2:33PM
Yeah...what gives?
umijin @ Jun 11th 2007 2:36PM
Probably only the iPhones.
Nothing for the rest of us.
Looks like I'll be buying an UltraPortable Windows Laptop and wedging OSX on it.

Most important, I don't care if the store is down, and I have that tingling feeling that tells me most people don't.
Mr. Sneakery @ Jun 11th 2007 2:55PM

PWN-tang @ Jun 11th 2007 2:59PM

V @ Jun 11th 2007 3:52PM
is engadget owned by apple? why always the excitement and promotion of apple? wow!
one device has success, and people are this crazy over the brand? 98% of the planet has an average to below average IQ (intelligence quotient for the below average) 98% of mp3 players on the planet are Ipods, hmm, the correlation?! ipod has always offered less than Archos, it must be the idiot buttons, low IQ's can handle only a few buttons
Jason @ Jun 12th 2007 9:48AM
@ V - Ummm...have u heard of the bell curve distribution? By definition, 98% cannot have below average intelligence, moron. And where do you get the correlation from? Do you have any data to support this? Stop pulling statistics out of your ass.
V @ Jun 12th 2007 1:09PM
this is common knowledge, data support not necessary, wikipedia it if not there google. if your answers fail i will help. bell curve where did you get that? this is an Intelligence Quotient(IQ), two words there, quotient the second, by definition answer of a division problem. the division takes tests score divided by your age, which gives the IQ score, where does bell curve fit in here? ststs didnt come out of my ass, i am just an ass. writing here and the responses, gives me joy knowing the english speaking peoples IQ seems to be dropping rapidly
Jake @ Jun 11th 2007 4:34PM
