Compass intros 47-inch 1080p PC / TV combo
They may not be for everybody, but PC / TV combos seem to be proliferating at a steady pace, a trend to which Korea's Compass is now further contributing. While specs on the PC end of the equation are a little light, the company's new 47-inch PT-47FHD model certainly looks to deliver the goods as an HDTV, boasting the full 1080p resolution, along with an 8 ms response time, 1,600:1 contrast ratio, and a generous supply of inputs (including four HDMI ports). No word on what it'll cost, but it should be available in Korea by the middle of next month.

It appears to have a wired keyboard... hmmm, less tahn useful I would have thought.
Yeah. And Windows 2000.
No it's not. It's Windows XP. Windows 2000 has 16colors icons in the systray, and look at the start menu!
(Oh, and that thing is running hamachi :-? )
Bout time these started coming out. I'm damn tired of waiting for Microsoft to release a browser for my 360!
So what is it? A TV hooked up to a computer with an HD tuner card? Is the computer part of the monitor?
I can see all the uber World of Warcraft geeks wetting their pants as they read this.
I've tried TV tuners on my computers and I could never get excited about them. Being able to resize my TV window is a novelty that wears off after a few minutes. MUCH prefer the simple functionality of a separate stand-alone TV.
