The acqua blue and white doesn't mesh with the black - I prefer subtler colors, or maybe even all-white. The IPhone price is already steep, and tacking on another $50 (plus tax) for this is total overkill.
$150...for a CASE?!? Wow. Enjoy what you've done Apple fans.
I guess only Apple fans can read. It isn't a CASE, they actually paint the phone.
They do this for computers and other things. I've seen a colorware painted computer before, and they are well done.
Also, there are 29 colors, but 5 areas to paint. You can choose any combo you like.
Then tack on another $100 for the ones that you missed. $150 bro! Juan Fitty! Also available in Barf Olive Green. My fav!

Not only is it ugly but it's expensive. Can't get a deal like that anywhere else. Blue, black, and white... why not throw in some orange or doo-doo brown?

you guys have never heard of ColorWare before... Laptops are $300+, with Macbook Pros going for $449.
so, they also sell iphones with colors, would that be without the at&t contract, but still simlocked?
They would be just as if you'd got them from Apple: that is, with contract & sim, just rearing to be activated.
What a ripoff. I don't care how they do it, the end result isn't worth it for $150.
As much as I like the Iphone, I am tired of seeing news about iphone every time I come to this site. There must be other things happening in the technology world on frequent basics other than iphone.

No, of course not. For some reason, it seems that you only think it qualifies as 'news' if there's an iPhone involved.
There's no denying that the iPhone is an interesting and ground breaking new phone, but you've lost all sense of perspective here.
It's a boring, dull over-priced case for an over-rated phone. That's really not *tech* news.

Engadget has covered every new prodect Colorware has brought out. But of course, for some reason, it seems that you only think to complain if there's an iPhone involved.
it's so easy to turn that around. cut it out.
It's kind of ironic how Apple users strive to be "Different" when in actuality, they're not that different at all and have to resort to paying more money to be "Different".

It's still that way with the Mac I guess. But, Apple got rid of the Think Different campaign years ago.

Smoother interface? The iPhone's interface is the smoothest interface I've ever seen, non-phone devices included. How could the interface be any smoother?
really? guess i need to do more research. it was my understanding that the interface was glitchy and no where near what the commercials represented it to be. if thats the case then maybe its time to update my cell after all (if i can scrounge up the money)
FWIW I have a Colorware iPod and I must say, it is very nicely done. I love it. A bit more cash, but it looks so damn cool!
wow... went to the website and saw the stuff and its pretty cool
but the price is still steep... adding another 150 to the already ps3 priced phone
who spends $150 on as paint job for a phone. this is insane. with a few bucks more i can get myself a new psp and upgrade it with custom firmware.
I actually happen to provide this service for iPhones for a mere $20. Lets just say I'm like the Maaco of iPhone painting.

If you've ever seen a ColorWare product, you'd know it's worth the cash. High gloss, bold colors. They know how to do it.
yeah right, $750 for an mp3 player with a cool touch-screen and.. nothing more. Neither is it a good PDA, nor a descent phone. Completely useless device, at least at these prices..
