Let's get some faster video cards for the Mac Pro...
Hugh @ Aug 6th 2007 5:29PM
And Some good mac games to boot. What the Mac needs is Ubisoft.
brad @ Aug 6th 2007 10:00PM
agreed about ubisoft, maybe an official announcement from epic of gears, and hopefully even more. smaller mbp's is what i'm looking for
Yojimbo @ Aug 6th 2007 7:46PM
Not sure which version of EARTH you are using Engadget, but LONDON and GMT are one in the same... England is all GMT for that matter.
michael @ Aug 6th 2007 8:32PM
Nope. London is currently is bst. (British Summer Time).
kevin @ Aug 6th 2007 4:41PM
i can't wait. i plan on using my nifty best buy hook-up to get the newipod at an even niftier price =]
Elevator @ Aug 6th 2007 6:02PM
You do realize the BestBuy discount on iPods is saving $3, right?
kingofwale @ Aug 6th 2007 4:41PM
maybe I'm just praying here, but Where's the Macbook mini? (12 inch Mackbook) and where's my IPhone-like Ipod video?
Homeboy @ Aug 6th 2007 4:51PM
The iPod G6 will be presented in September along with a 6/16GB iPod Nanos.
Tomorrow we'll see new iMacs off course, updated Mac Mini and Santa Rossa Macbooks with LED back light option.
Hugh @ Aug 6th 2007 5:02PM
THIS IS A MAC ONLY ANNOUNCMENT, NO IPODS WILL BE RELEASED
Steve @ Aug 6th 2007 5:48PM
Smaller Macbooks?!!? I want bigger ones! Like a 15" or even 17" Macbook that doesn't cost $2000. If they can keep the prices steady and make the screens bigger, I'll be buying one for sure. I don't care about LED backlighting, just give me some of that 1440 x 900 sweetness!
Hakon @ Aug 6th 2007 6:28PM
My 15" HP laptop has a 1920x1200 screen - and I've had it for three years. Apple is waaay behind in the resolution game.
jamesus @ Aug 6th 2007 4:41PM
iPhone - Phone + Pod
MrGam3r @ Aug 6th 2007 4:49PM
and "- i - Pod." Engadget said earlier that its only mac stuff right? i wish there would be another iPod believe me...I want one like the iPhone without everything that isn't the iPod because I already have a nice phone. but i don't think thats gonna happen. wishful thinking :)
Eric Gearhart @ Aug 6th 2007 4:41PM
I'm gonna say... .mac and Mac Pro
Peter @ Aug 6th 2007 4:42PM
All I want are new iMacs. I have been waiting almost a year. >_
Darrell @ Aug 6th 2007 6:00PM
Me too! Since October the cash has been set aside. 19 more hours and counting!
mac snooper @ Aug 7th 2007 8:34AM
there WILL be new Imacs. I will confirm this now.. thanks for your time.
Jordan @ Aug 6th 2007 4:43PM
how about a stronger Mac Mini?
Tim @ Aug 6th 2007 9:27PM
Mac Mini's going the way of the Cube.
Apple's never really had a well thought-out low-end Mac. The Mini and Cube were nice concepts, but they never seemed like long-term solutions for home use.
An upgradable, affordable low-end Mac Pro would be nice to see though. My Dell running Vista at home makes me miss the Mac I have at work.
Kila @ Aug 6th 2007 6:08PM
Apple have discontinued the Mac Mini..
Ireland @ Aug 6th 2007 6:12PM
I don't know, aluminum is a pretty tough material :P
Homeboy @ Aug 6th 2007 4:46PM
What products will be presented isn't as important as what shirt Steve is going to be wearing.
Will he be wearing a brown or a black turtleneck shirt? Or will he choose a silver one to match the new aluminum enclosed iMacs?
Adam @ Aug 7th 2007 4:11AM
He might use the black button-up shirt we saw last year...
Todd @ Aug 6th 2007 4:47PM
My wish? An iPhone mini for $199.
Hugh @ Aug 6th 2007 9:35PM
199? Not happening. more like 399
Cameron @ Aug 6th 2007 10:56PM
!!... yeah, good luck with that.
Ant @ Aug 6th 2007 4:47PM
I havn't got the cash for computers, give us a new iPod so I can waste a bit of money and drive everyone mad about its features.
AlexP @ Aug 6th 2007 4:53PM
Woot, so I shouldn't be missing much. :D
I've got some stuff to do downtown Ottawa - hopefully I'll be back before the Apple store is re-opened because I can't wait to order my stuff in preparation for College. :V
Samurai Jack @ Aug 6th 2007 4:54PM
I recall his Steveness saying somewhat recently that "there is no 'i' in Mac". I predict the new iMac will be renamed "Macintosh", which will complete the new computer naming scheme. Mac/Mac Pro : Macbook/Macbook Pro. If they decide to continue the Mac mini and develop and Macbook mini as well, all the better.
Bart @ Aug 7th 2007 1:35AM
I dunno... most people know apple for the ipod so having an 'i' in imac creates a link between the products.
ha people used to say to me "oh you have one of those ipod computers"... fewls!
andy @ Aug 6th 2007 4:55PM
"All I want are new iMacs. I have been waiting almost a year. >_"
why would you wait for the next version of a computer straight after the release of one :s
Hugh @ Aug 6th 2007 5:19PM
Because this one will be better than the last one! But it goes on, and on, really.
Darrell @ Aug 6th 2007 6:01PM
Simple: Hopes and dreams. Blu-ray, Leopard, next-gen graphics cards...if you aren't in dire need, it's always better to wait.
Donald @ Aug 6th 2007 5:00PM
- 12" MacBook Mini
- New iMac
- .mac made free for all users
"And one more thing..."
- Yellow Submarine iPod with Beatles music
Adam @ Aug 6th 2007 5:46PM
i hope they add the beatles music that would be very neat and a great addition to the itms
raymie @ Aug 6th 2007 5:01PM
the return of the emac!
it'll basically be an all in one mac mini
Michael @ Aug 6th 2007 5:05PM

I hope it's a new iMac with DX10 cards.
Hugh @ Aug 6th 2007 10:12PM
Huh? DX10 is Vista man, I'm sure Apple wouldn't put DX10 Cards in their machines so a kid can run his games better via bootcamp. Although the cards would be usable, its pointless for Mac.
Just get A PC if you want hardcore gaming.
Mike @ Aug 6th 2007 9:02PM
you do realize DirectX is a Microsoft thing right?
Russell @ Aug 6th 2007 5:07PM
Why did Hawaii get on the list but not Alaska? Come on guys, now I have to do subtraction
barrywoods @ Aug 6th 2007 7:04PM
Don't worry dude, it'll be on at 9am AKST for us folks north of everyone.
julio @ Aug 6th 2007 5:18PM
12 Noon Colombia, South America
eurotransient @ Aug 6th 2007 5:30PM
I'm kind of hoping for an iMacMiniBookNanoPhone. I'm sick of having all these gadgets around the house: Cell phone, MP3 player, laptop, computer. All in one, baby, all in one!
Maybe they can throw a Roomba in there, too? While I'm seeding torrents, it can vacuum my room.
steve @ Aug 6th 2007 10:02PM
ROFL
That has got to be the best comment of the month..
M@ @ Aug 6th 2007 10:07PM
lol, someone photochop that, please!
Matt @ Aug 6th 2007 5:35PM
New iMacs for sure, but I'm hoping for the OSX iPod and maybe some hints regarding Macworld like they did w/ the Apple TV last year.
iKenny81 @ Aug 6th 2007 5:42PM
I hope in new monitors and new keyboard... if will be true I'll bay immediately both...
Mike @ Aug 6th 2007 6:00PM
What's up with the weather in Cupertino? No foliage on the trees?!?
Lou Griffith @ Aug 6th 2007 6:00PM
