Pink and blue Xbox 360 wireless controllers get street dates, color changes
For all you fashion plates and bon vivants (and also little boys and girls), we don't want you to forget that Microsoft is introducing two new colors into its multi-hued, wireless, Xbox 360 controller-world on October 2nd: blue and pastel pink. The weird thing here is that in Japan, a baby blue version of the controller will be available (as pictured), but apparently the Xbox team doesn't seem to think the market in the States is ready for such a bold color choice. Regardless, if you really need to get the lighter color, you can plan for the Japanese release date of November 1st.

Pretty colors.
YES!!! Finally I can have a controller that my husband and SONS won't touch!!! WooHoo!!! LOL Love the idea!
Why was the picture changed?! Those girls were hot!
Nothing screams hardcore like pastels.
Pink is like red but not quite.
Are these going to catch on fire? Overheat?
How's the warranty?
I want to see the other pic... and I'd kinda like to see what the blue looks like...
it was my impression that America was built apon bold choices. God bless us, and go ahead and send baybe blue our way.
Right now I'm craving cotton candy and I can't figure out why...
I hope that light-blue controller looks better in person, because the picture makes it look like an egg dunked in some crappy watercolor or something.
I'll be damned if I let a pink controller connect to my 360...
I'll be damned if I use a pink controller, but my "friends" might be interested in it. (hahaha)
why?
So, now we can get a Pink Ring of Death, or Baby Blue Ring of Death??
Will there be a Barbie or Easy-Bake Oven 360 Edition? Maybe a Swarovski-encrusted headset?
I really don't want to experience a pink ring of death - red sounds painful enough.
I'm hoping that these users are somehow identified in XboxLive! At least against the pink users, I'm likely to be a little less dead in GoW.
They must have had some left over Zune paint.
These colors are obviously not for the color blind because I thought those were the normal controllers pictured.
Does Microsoft even know who their target audience is? It appears as though they think we are 12 year old girls...
Tip:
How about a glossy dark blue, red, etc... None of these pastel baby colors please.
Microsoft I'm a man damn it! :)
I think both of those look nice. Why would you complain about having a choice? If you don't like it buy another color. And since when do 12 year old girls not play video games?

OMG MY ENGADGET LIFE IS OVER!!!
Sorry for the double (now tripple) post. Hopefully you turned off "email me when someone~." If not I apologize for the spam :'(.
I like how this comes on the heels of that article about pink gadgets patronizing women.
*scratches head, wonders why?
This makes no sense at all.
Matches the zune anyone???
it's not only in Japan- according to amazon that baby blue colour will also be available in the UK
"Wireless Controller: Light Blue (Xbox 360)
by Microsoft"
I agree with moses nothing pink gets close to my 360 ill drop kick if one of my friends comes to my house with a pink controller....
You guys just dont get the pink controller do you, its there for when your friends come over you make them use it just to razz them.
Ok, I don't own an Xbox, and probably still bitter about not winning that "300 Limited Edition Xbox 360." But, those are some ugly colors.
By the way, are those remotes easier to use than the PlayStation's? They look a bit strange. Although I must say that having the joystick on the left higher makes some sense. But, it forces you to till the remote to the right.
After you get done playing a bloody shoot em' up you and the Easter bunny can go for a friggin egg hunt....Gross colors for rizzy!
Finally! Just what I needed to push me over the edge to buy a 360!
I'm reminded of that "patronizing pink" article from a few days ago...
When you beat the hell out of someone at your game of choice, you can add insult to injury by doing it with a pink controller. I think its great.
Since when is having a choice of color bad, anyway? People freak out about this, Zune, or anything else that has multiple color choices. It makes no sense to complain about it.
I want a halo 3 green colored controller.
Amen to that. Also a 120 GB hard drive in halo colors.
What is with all the pastels in electronics recently? The new iPod nanos have a few lousy colors. I ended up with silver because the actual colored ones were pastel and just ugly. Red might have been OK, but that's a direct-order only and I was in a hurry!
So the practical choices for any male who doesn't go by the name "Tad" or "Peaches" are black and silver.
Same here. Your choices are black or white. Forget seeing any hardcore Halo boys with a pastel pink controller.
But maybe they think more girls will get into gaming if they make more girly accessories. Coming next: The perfumed Wii controller! It gives a pretty scent when you wave it in the air!
Now I can entice the wife to let me get a 360 when Halo 3 comes out! I get the regular white controller and she gets the sissy pink one.
Of course it won't look so good when she whoops my ass in Halo with a pink controller.
hey does anyone wanna buy a blue and black and white controller i allready have it.
