Diesel offers up duo of OLED-packin' watches
It's not that we've never seen a watch with an OLED display, but considering that so few of them are even mildly attractive, we have to take notice when one pops up that could actually be worn (shamelessly) in public. Diesel's DZ7080 and DZ7079 timepieces both sport integrated OLED displays, fairly appealing designs and water-resistance to boot. Not a whole lot of extra features or anything, but both models look to be available right now for around $150.50 and $136.50, respectively.

Does it play videos of doom? (See what I did there?)
Preston @ Sep 26th 2007 7:28AM
Those things are ugly.
E71 @ Sep 26th 2007 7:57PM
Actually, it doesn't look so bad. Only problem is I like a watch with at least a few basic features. That watch looks like all it does is tell the time, no alarm, yada.
Mike @ Sep 26th 2007 7:28AM
Not bad looking but I still prefer Rolex....LOL
LegendZ28 @ Sep 26th 2007 9:23AM
I don't know how to break it to you, but the "Folex" you bought off the street probably isn't real.
Gerald Tan @ Sep 26th 2007 7:34AM
It looks like something the Terminator would wear.
robert @ Sep 26th 2007 7:35AM
these are probably one of the ugliest watches i have ever seen
KraazyCraig @ Sep 26th 2007 7:56AM
they dont look tooo bad, but ive seen better much ones from Diesel (non OLED though)
needs a bigger screen
Randomness @ Sep 26th 2007 8:04AM
Wow, could they have made the screen any smaller? :-/ Disappointing. What we need is the ability to customize the picture and placement of time on the watch Optimus Maximus style. Open source OLED watch anyone?
ShawN_ @ Sep 26th 2007 8:06AM
My nike OLED watch is way nicer than this ugly pos....

if it was just the screen without that massive metal plate at the top these would probs look decent.
nih @ Sep 26th 2007 9:01AM
You guys have to be kidding me. Those are some friggen stylish watches.
huguesn @ Sep 26th 2007 10:33AM
Geeks have no taste.. no seriously, it rocks! It looks like a stylish bracelet. I would definitely like to buy the first one, but the second, not sure!
MikeG @ Oct 9th 2007 4:43PM
^ I agree
Love the first one, second one is a maybe
Geir E @ Sep 26th 2007 11:32AM
It is more an individual style than something appealing to the general public. I would never wear something like that, let alone something else with the diesel brand name. Not that I think diesel is crap or anything like that. Just that the diesel image does not confront my personal image. So the watch would fit someone that want to wear something diesel perfectly.
nih @ Sep 26th 2007 12:18PM
What I don't get is the second watch screamed tasteful anime to me. I thought the nerdlingers would have been all over it. As usual someone cool will have to wear it before they get interested.
hiimcliff @ Nov 2nd 2007 10:32AM
as a cool guy turned technogeek i have to say that you guys are crazy. the watch is hot like fire. in fact i bookmarked this post because i wanted the watch and now i have it. and that nike watch posted in that previous post is ugly as hell.
chris schmidt @ Sep 26th 2007 9:54AM
If by "attractive" you mean "totally gay" then ya, they're pretty attractive.
Thanol @ Sep 26th 2007 1:21PM
I'm sorry if gays have better taste than you.
Mike Botros @ Sep 26th 2007 11:00AM
I just checked Diesel's online watch store... and um.. they're listed for $215 and $195... I wanted to get one, but where are they for the prices listed in this post?
Mike Botros @ Sep 26th 2007 11:01AM
oh.. nvm.. i just read the linked article.. found it!
DrSextel @ Sep 26th 2007 11:54AM
Thanks, but no thanks! I'll stick to my Patek Phillipe Grand Complication 5059J!!!
Ellianth @ Sep 26th 2007 4:25PM
This is bring back painful memories of that beautiful e-ink watch that engadget gave away. You know, the one i didn't win?
