Navman rolls out bare-bones F10 GPS unit
Navman looks to be keeping all of its bases covered these days, with the company now following up its recently-introduced S-series devices with the even lower-end F10 unit. This one keeps things about as basic as can be, with nothing but a 3.5-inch touchscreen on the face of the unit, an SD card slot on the side, and a standard SiRF Star III GPS chipset on the inside -- even the software is apparently a light version of Navman's SmartST 2008 package. According to GPSAndCo, at least France will be getting the device, where it'll set you back €149 (or just over $200) , although we assume it'll also be making its way to other parts of the world at a similarly budget-minded price.

We have it down here in Australia. I work for Kmart which has been pushing it for about a week now.
Does not look to bad for a basic unit.

Just bought one from K-Mart here in Australia. Great little unit :) I compared it to my wifes S30 and I can only find one difference (apart from the fact that mine's black and her's us silver) - her's has a headphone socket next to the external antenna socket. Otherwise the software etc is exactly the same. I even checked the firmware/software versions and they are the same. Mine cost AU$378.00 from K-Mart, her's cost AU$377 from JB Hi-Fi.

what about the maps - do you get a free update. does it have locations of the pseed cameras, and school zones. The NSW govt is making a killing here by installing speed cameras in school zones

Great device, crap service.
I bought one of these for AU$200........was fantastic when i was traveling Aussie.
Now back into NZ and i think "Hey why not just used this near new device here"
So i go on their website.....they want AU$180 to put NZ maps on it
Contact Navman about swapping the maps (i know where their support office is)......nothing
So if you plan to change countries - either buy another brand of GPS or else budget to buy 2 gps units.....its cheaper
