The Invader Scarf: too geek for chic
You can't get much dorkier than a) knitting or b) reminiscing about your misspent youth jerking the stick with Space Invaders. Combine the two, however, and you'll be the most fashionable kid at Legoland. Add a random sampling of mystery QR codes and Mister Green Jeans himself will be asking you for couture tips. Best get your order for the $66 Invader Scarf in soon though, Lendorff Kaywa is only knitting 500.

Jerking the stick, eh? Wow.
Get used to it. Ricker loves to use the dirty homoerotic talk in his posts.
"In stock and ready for delivery by that chubby man who's fond of children."
"Jerking the stick..."
"Hike up that skirt boy, Asus' is hoping for a diddle of your effeminate side... (y)ay, clap clap, bounce bounce."
He tries too hard to be funny every single post, and when he can't be witty, he resorts to this kind of crap. Every now and then he's funny; but not this time.
The original Space Invaders arcade machine had no stick. You must have been playing with your buttons.
I would like it better if it had the little PC ship at the bottom or something
If I was Microsoft, I'd be producing lots of gaming clothing like this.
I bet you I could sell a Gears of War Leather Jacket with a big image of each character on the back of it for $300 (I had T-shirts made with "Cole Train" and Marcus Pheonix for $20 each)
Or a Master Chief Leather Jacket.
Or a CRYSIS leather jacket.
You'd.....actually....wear this? This scarf is halfway fashionable, with the high contrast pattern and wintery colors. These jackets you describe are just...eh...tacky.
Hah now I remember where I remember your name from. You're that douche that went way off topic about the HID lights by bragging about a BMW-superior Mercedes Benz S-class. If you're into those gay leather jackets, something tells me you don't drive an S-class.
A master chief leather jacket sounds a little gay. Although not as gay as a master chief leather G-string, now thats gay and uncomfortable (its starting to chafe a little bit)
at otakon 2006, someone bought my Doom II pre-release baseball cap for $75...
forget that. what i need is the design, I'll have my mother in law make on for me for free... :D
no one should point fingers. especially after. eeewwwwwwww
I like how they went the extra mile for the picture with the hiring of a girl and using a studio and such.
I kind of like the scarf. I don't really wear scarves, seeing as how it doesn't get near cold enough in Arizona to constitute one. However, it's still sort of cool.
Also, I like the new comments look guys! Very geek chic in of itself.
At £32 + shipping for the scarf i think i'll give it a miss. Space Invaders or not $70 is a bit steep !
Knitting is geeky? Cool, one more notch on my geek holster then.
Hate to get geekier than thou, (no I don't) but wasn't the original Space Invaders all buttons, not joystick?
LOL! That's the first thing I noticed in the article too! Voted up!
Not in Japan (or on Atari)!

Ahahaha..
The QR barcode reads
"insert coin for extra Life"
:-)
(insert your witty scarf joke here)
Knitty.com has a pattern for space invaders socks, and a pattern for a binary scarf. I take offense to the notion that knitting is geeky.
Flashpoint: That's cute, you're like 12.
"douche" is a word that describes a device for a part of a woman's body that YOU WILL NEVER SEE.
I'll take 2
I want one. It'd go nice along-side my 8-bit tie.
the image is probably for looking up info about the company that made the scarf those codes are really big over here for doing cell phone check outs in stores and automatically mapping the address to a store, i think the scarf is cool
The code says "Insert coin for extra life" :)
And the one on the back says "Game Over!"
Umh... am I the only one to think that this is merely a badly designed copycat attempt at the space invaders scarves over at http://www.b2d4.com?
