Super Mario Carbs
The excellent game auction blog GameSniped held a contest in which entrants were tasked with finding the most interesting, rare, and unusual video-game-related auctions on eBay. Some went so far as to create their own auctions specifically to win the contest, as was the case with the Jack Thompson-autographed Grand Theft Auto III seen all over the web this week.
Docman217 entered the old-fashioned way: by just finding bizarre stuff on eBay. The reason we bring up the back story about the contest is that we wanted to be able to express how flabbergasted we are that this Mario made of bread was not made specifically for a contest. This person just made a Mario out of bread, looked at the results, and decided to list them on eBay -- with an offer, of course, to shellac the loaf for preservation.
