TN Games' impact-generating FPS Vest goes on sale
Are you a hardcore gamer? No, seriously -- a hardcore gamer. If so, you should have no qualms throwing down $169 for TN Games' FPS Vest now that it's available for order. The entire bundle includes an "impact-generating" wearable, an air compressor, USB cable, power supply and copies of 3rd Space Incursion and Call of Duty 2 for PC. girls named "domino" rule!
Great.
So now when the police enter my house, they'll see me wearing a "bulletproof," vest, holding a "pistol" at my television, and shouting obscenities at COD4's veteran difficulty.
Then I get shot for reals.
No officer, I did not hit her. Those bruises are from the TN Games' impact-generating FPS Vest
$169 and all I don't even get Call of Duty 4?
They didn't even wear Kevlar vests in WW2!
you are stupid!!!
Curious... I find that a lot of my gamer friends are on the chunkier side of life with big round bellies. I wonder if this is stretchable or inflatable.

Yeah, I've got this "friend" who is over-weight too... :\
We're on to you Hokey...
dude...I dont know....I can see hardcore gamers maybe getting into this...but the reality is some fat guy in a wife beater will squeeze his ass in one with nothing else on but some boxers sitting on the couch playing ( insert game here)....not a good look...and the helmet...looks like a subdural in the making.....
...and the line between reality and fantasy gets blurred even further.
NOT!
Games won't be realistic until
#1 They take the Half Life style: no cutscenes, no voice, no character body
#2 they make a way that there are NO LOAD TIMES
#3 they produce a helmet that completely immerses the users eyes and ears
The closest I've been to REALISM GAMING is when I rode a gymbal gyroscopic flight simulator with the game G-loc in an amusement park.
That shit was off the hook. I would really spend $30,000 to get one of those in my home.
The closest I ever came to ultra realistic gaming was playing the virtual boy with headphones on!
i find the lack of a body in half life the opposite of realistic. if you look at your feet in real life, you see your arms, torso, legs, feet, and a shadow. in half life, you see nothing.
Gsus, Go and play airsoft milsim instead!!! :)
Airsoft is for pansies. Try paintball instead!
I 100%. "OMG, I just got shot in the head. OMG, I just got shot in the face AGAIN!!! RAWR " Boring. Airsoft is teh $hit.
Wow...it would be nice if Engadget gave me credit. I sent them the story and they pulled it off Crave, which got the story from me.

But what about headshots?
It needs a helmet to really recreate the BOOM HEADSHOT! moments.
Finally something to go with my power glove and tin-foil hat.
hmm BDSM online anyone? lol - its a whole new era
