Apple Remote and classic NES controller meet in NesRemote
Nothing fits the hand quite like the old school, blockish NES controller, all square and squeaky -- and now the subject of loving merger with an Apple Remote. The NesRemote, not surprisingly, makes use of the D-pad for navigation, A and B play and pause, and Select for the back button. No, it won't make exploring your iTunes collection as fun as collecting Metroid energy tanks, but we might guarantee that watching the video after the break will bring a smile to your jaded, geeky face.

Well, at least now you won't lose the thing immediately.
Now I can get nintenditus in my wrists and hand while browsing my poorly organized music folders.
yes.
no
The original mother brain stage scared me.....But then again, I was only 6.
Up Down Up Down Left Right Left Right ABAB

Is that a WWGRD? band?
Hahaha, no, that's not a WWGRD rubber band.
Hi,
I'm the guy who made this mod. Thanks all for your comments.
@ Jeremy ... I think you forgot Select Start at the end.
@ Edmund O. I made a tutorial on Instructables right here :

Thanks all for watching.
Stop it! You're controlling my Guy! ... er, iTunes collection!
@Agurri: How fast does it respond? I'm imagining using this with Remote Buddy to play emulators. Would be very slick!
I don't think it'd be able to send more than one keypress at a time. In other words, you couldn't press down at the same time as A, etc. There are some mods to add USB to NES controllers, or you could but one premade. Personally, I just use my sixaxis.
Ed is correct. You can only press 1 button at a time
It responds as fast (or as slow ;) ) as the original remote would do.
And, I'm also using Sofa Control and god, moving the cursor with it is a pleasure. Hahah.
If you do the project, I'll be glad to help you out.
The remote is able to send to signals at the same time. For example pairing a remote is forward and menu at the same time.
But, when you press forward + menu, it send 1 signal to the remote. It's a combination of buttons......... well I'm pretty sure of it.
Do want... now.
Well, go ahead and build one. It's not that hard... just take your time and be careful. You just need some soldering skills...
