MSI Wind gets its FCC on
We've been wondering where the MSI Wind's been hiding, and it turns out it's been kicking back with Uncle Sam -- the 10-inch netbook just popped up in the FCC. Nothing here we didn't know, really, but if you're into shots of the internals or those oh-so-riveting RF reports, nirvana awaits you at the read link.

Ughh!! Release that thing already..though it's due to ship 2morrow, so idk what it's still doing @ the FCC.
There's nothing in the filing that actually leads me to believe that it is "at the FCC". The "story" is that there is an FCC filing with photos and documents. This shoddy reporting is implying something that has no basis that I can see. But maybe I'm missing something. The only thing this looks like is someone at engadget is tired of reporting every little tidbit about the Wind, so they tried to make fun of it.
Seriously, where the hell is this thing? its taking its sweet ass time. I really want one, but by the time it finally drops there will probably be 5 other great subnotes around.
insert breaking wind joke here
I was kind of hoping the Wind would be Breaking news.
I can't think of a witty comment, so I'll just say what I thought.
HEE. HEE. HEE.
Anyone know what kind of warranty we're looking at? If there's one thing I don't want, it's to break Wind.
This little guy almost looks like a mini macbook, maybe a little low rent next to a macbook, but overall I can't wait to see this bad boy in person....I like the 10" screen as usability should be quite good.
wow, that's a lot of indicators down at the bottom of the palm rest.
The Wind is very innovative that way...the third one from the left is actually the "all indicator lights are operational" indicator.
The fourth one from the left indicates that the third one from the left is working.
Looks like it is delayed again

I wanted the wind so bad, but now i'm pissed off, here is why, They ship the windows version with better ram and bluetooth compared to the linux version. I mean wtf, next, the whole 3 cell vs 6 cell, all that are shipping is the 3 cell! why?? damn it , i dont see why i can't get similar stats with a linux version 6 cell please..... I think i will just get the windows version and not activate it, and try to get a refund on my xp license
All 25 cents of it.
Because they make more money on the XP SKU, even w/ the license cost. That's why even the 3-cell Linux is pushed back to August. Demand will likely exceed supply for the rest of the year, so there's no reason they should sell it at the lower price point until that happens. That's the price for being early adopters.

Come on Dell !!!!!
Give us an update. It is OK, you have my money on your Dell E, even though the logo has a circle round it and it does not run OSX.
I know that we can't have sex before we are married, but you gotta keep me interested. I can always ask "Windy" for a little touch and maybe a tickle, and I know that I'll get it too.
So come on. Give it to me, you know you want to.

Why did you have to bring up Apple?
@anthony
i did not mention that name. that would be sinful.
personally I am coming round to the idea of OSX. so long as I can run firefox 3 and run my games

I was told that OSX was really really good and that windoze was really really really bad.
My mom told me it was so bad that if I used it a monster would come out fo my cupboard and gobble me.
I don't really know whether that is good or bad.
i see... so what you're saying is that Hamdixa is your other alias.
This is really shoddy reporting with a blatant negative bias. Not going to win any journalism awards this way. It implies conclusions in the absence of real information. In other words, is this FCC information really the reason the Wind is delayed? I doubt it. I'm no MSI defender, but maybe my expectations for engadget are too high. Sure they were late to their first release date, and gave one explanation which may or may not have been false, but you're outright saying something (?) that I'm not quite sure what. Wind is delayed because they just now got some paperwork submitted? The Wind is sitting in the FCC's offices, just waiting for the bomb sniffing dogs to give their paws up?
Get a clue about basic reporting standards, or this place is just going to be Drudge or that fat redheaded curly guy that does the annoying website of movie reviews. Perhaps this FCC filing is currently on schedule, we don't know, and this reporting certainly implies that something's once again not.
