If duct tape fixes everything, what will fix this when it breaks?
that's the thing.....it won't break cause it already has all the duct tape it can muster.

I've seen duct tape wallets, duct tape purses, and now this...the second iteration of the duct tape server.
For what they probably spent on 11 or 12 rolls of duct tape they could have bought a cheap PC case with a fan.
I don't really think this was about saving money you know.

I think Nashua duct tape costs more than $1/roll. Probably at least $3/roll.

as for duct tape, its easily $1 a roll.
Unlike with a cheap case, you cannot cut your finger on duct tape, so this one still wins -)
The duct tape at my warehouse is 12 bucks a roll.

Patch Tuesday gets a completely different meaning
It seriously took me like 5 minutes to figure out what the letters on the side meant.. I was like "TBT, EOA, AOP, MME?" Is that a vision chart or some new way of displaying specs? wtf? ( Is there a remedial version of Engadget available for people with my needs?)

So is duct tape fire proof ? can't say i'd be very confident leaving a server running 24/7 in a potentially meltable case that would burn my flat down and kill my cats .....

Prof.X here, I saw we had some questions/statements regarding the thermal issues of the DTS2
DTS2 ran for 4 days straight and had no thermal issues, In fact I think due in large part to both the volume of the new case and the 120mm fan in the front the thermal peaks in all three areas rarely made it over 31c with an average of 28c.
We'll keep you guys up to date on any DTS developments.
