As an Iphone owner I'm appauled and disgusted at this abomination. It basically appears that they stole the entire iPhone OS and changed the fonts to GB/UNICODE/Big5 and then added that to an underpowered CPU (judging from the crappy speed at which things changed from screen to screen.
Then again, its not hard to see what's happened. iPhones are made in China and they've got the factories and parts to make iclones.
I think the real funny thing is, Chinese people hate buying Chinese made products. They perfer Sony, Apple or Microsoft genuine because they know its higher quality than anything made there. And I've lived in China for over 2 years so I know that's the truth. Just as any Chinese person from mainland PRC which they'd perfer...

its just that some chinese ppl think its überkewl to buy foreignmade products, cuz foreign made products are way more expensive. Ppl tend to try to show off their wealth....

China isn't known for acknowledging international patents or copyrights. And since any legal action would have to be through the Chinese courts, not American ones, Apple really can't do anything to stop clones like this from being produced and sold overseas.

I appreciate the fact that they've gone for a double-whammy, ripping off not only Apple but also Orange (the popular UK network operator), all the while keeping to their fruity theme. They get extra points for that.

there is a lot of people in china can't afford iphone, thats y they make the creepy clone. We can't blame them, all the money apple earned are going to US. The workers in china only get the tiny salaries, they build the iphone but they can't afford it.

Its true actually, when I was in China, the absolute pinacle of phone bling was the iPhone. When I was in Shanghai, anyone driving a German car (yes ... strangely they have those :P ) was holding an iPhone next to their head.
It's 1580 on taobao (chinese version of ebay), so that's like $230. It's not that cheap.
BTW, Chinese spent alot more money on phones than American (mostly due to they don't buy cars.)
There are tons more people using n95 (sold $5000 in China) in any given Chinese city than any US city I have been to.
Sooooo....because not everyone in the world can buy it they should be able to steal it and make illegitimate bastard children of an iphone? By that logic i should be able to take a BMW, change it MBW and change a few colors...bam I have my own car company, and its fine because I cant afford a BMW.

One thing that nobody seems to have mentioned is that all this copying the chinese are doing is only making them better at understanding form and function. They have always been good at learning how to copy something and then to do it for themselves. It won't be too far into the future before we'll be seeing a rise in quality and a bit more originality from China in the technology markets anyway.

it probably can play music okay, but I think it probably is another MTK solution so you wont have much software 'you want' on it. I am sticking to my wm6.1 device for now.
What's funny is the clone supports flash. Don't get me wrong, I have an iphone and love it, but I've never understood why Flash was such a big deal. *shrug*

The English in the ad is so bad... but nevertheless they managed to rip the iPhone off (I'm glancing to my iPhone sitting on the table...). Did they realise that their phone's name has a spelling mistake (seeing that they said "orange" at the end of the video).
and something good with that iorgane -- to change pages of the calendar you just need to swipe the page -- I wish Apple could've implement that. It's easier than pressing the arrows near the top.

I don't get it. Is Engadget implying some sort of resemblance between the Apple and iorgane? Come on, they're clearly different.
1) the box the iPhone comes in is black, while iorgane's is clearly orange.
2) When I look at my iPhone all the characters are based on the Latin alphabet and use English. The iorgane use some sort of ideograms which I'll bet are Chinese.
3) The hands in Apple's and iorgane's TV ads are certainly different as iorgane's hand model obviously has a coke habit where Apple's hand model is a Tea Toddling Mormon (probably) .
