BlackBerry Storm 9530 user manual leaked, totally not boring
Can't get enough info on the BlackBerry Storm? No detail too granular? Well, then you'll surely be interested in the fact that the user manual has appeared -- and from the looks of it, it's a serious page-turner. It's not quite as long as War & Peace, clocking in at 249 pages, but just as action-packed, so cozying up with it might fill the void until the actual device appears.

Might as well read it now, since no one will when the phone is released.

Or you could just download the simulator from http://na.blackberry.com/eng/developers/resources/simulators.jsp (V4.7.0)
And have a play with one for yourself.

Never had such an enthralling read since the day I locked myself into my laundry room for 14 hours, with lots of wet laundry and the dryer manpages.

As written by JK Rowling ..

249 pages? Wow. . .good to know they cut down on the complexity.

Why is War and Peace the standard for longness?
Loonie @ Nov 2nd 2008 5:31PM
Because it's sodding huge.
a ham sandwich @ Nov 2nd 2008 5:40PM

ED @ Nov 2nd 2008 5:48PM

Does it have WiFi? Can I unlock it and put a SIM in from another Carrier? Can I get of the air plane in Europe (say Heathrow), power it up and go? Someone please say yes to at least 1 of these important functions, please...

The crackberry fanboys called this an iPhone killer? It cracks me up. I now know why it is called "crackberry".
It is good for a few laughs. :)

Gee! My iPhone didn't come with a manual. I feel cheated.
BlissX @ Nov 2nd 2008 5:29PM
Worst. 'Shop. Ever.
Although I'll give credit for whoever cropped the cover around her finger. Mad skillz. If it was me, she would've only had 4 digits.
Jay @ Nov 2nd 2008 5:35PM
Are you guys sure she is reading the manual? She seems a bit TOO engaged. (I bet it's a comic book.)
ILoveApple @ Nov 2nd 2008 6:42PM
It's quite obvious that she's looking at daddy's magic book of pornography.
Jonathan-DBOSS @ Nov 2nd 2008 8:06PM
The expression on the little girl's face: Priceless.
+1 to Engadget, I laughed my ass off.

Now I'm waiting for big V to release the battery of Storm. maybe that'll keep us awake until the actual phone release day anticlimax.
TheNewGuy @ Nov 2nd 2008 11:48PM
When is it suppose to be coming out anyways???

Can I use the Blackberry Storm as a tethered modem? I need to use my phone with my Tomtom to get traffic updates.
For me the ability to use my phone as an occasional modem for my laptop and for traffic updates for my sat nav is essential - and something that I can do on my ancient K800i (but not the iPhone).
