Unreleased Helio slider surfaces
Described to us once by those in the know as "a project that would've been," this Helio-badged, Samsung-built, multimedia-happy slider just surfaced on the Heliocity forums. Samsung shipped tweaked versions of this handset (based on the Samsung F400) with B&O and Armani branding, but there's no telling if "Helio by Virgin" still has plans to bring this to market. More shots after the break.

It actually looks pretty nice! I think I'll stick with my Ocean, though. Can't wait for the Ocean 2 next year... :)

Thanks for that signature. I was having a hard time figuring out who you were.
Flashpoint @ Dec 13th 2008 2:40PM
Kinda looks like alienware.
Vic @ Dec 13th 2008 8:01PM
Looks like a redesign of the Samsung HighNote from Sprint.

The keypad is exactly like my D807's. I'd say copyright infringement, but these are made by Samsung too (right?).
Vincent @ Dec 13th 2008 3:03PM
did u even look at the photos... it clearly says samsung on the top... u can't copyright infringe upon your own copyrights
who? @ Dec 13th 2008 3:06PM
did u even look at my comment?

"these are made by Samsung" -Who?
I could be mistaken, but when I read that, I thought it meant "Who?" knew these were made by Samsung... huh. English is such a funny language.
who? @ Dec 13th 2008 11:14PM
Thank you "everyone"!
A-non @ Dec 14th 2008 11:46AM
@ who?
Good job using a different avatar to agree with yourself. I really like the use of "everyone" as the name, as if everyone is agreeing with you. When you said "(right?)" at the end of you comment, it was as though you were asking a question, hence the question mark. If you had read the post, you wouldn't have needed to ask if it had been made by Samsung or not.

Damn I thought Helio was dead?!

Pretol @ Dec 13th 2008 2:56PM
Helio-Schmelio.
KilgoreTrout @ Dec 13th 2008 3:13PM
I will never understand it.
People can get themselves a Samsung Omnia (after a few easy tweaks easily the best phone by far in the world) but still buy something else... Bah
deyanimay @ Dec 13th 2008 3:17PM
Wait, what helio is gsm? I thought they used to run on sprints network.
Setnev @ Dec 13th 2008 3:47PM
Um its not a SIM card slot, it's a microSD slot
deyanimay @ Dec 13th 2008 6:27PM
My bad.
Fernando @ Dec 13th 2008 3:33PM
Ah shame, the F400 is good stuff sound quality wise.
Uberandreman @ Dec 13th 2008 3:45PM

Setnev @ Dec 13th 2008 3:48PM
Again, its not a SIM slot, is a MicroSD slot.
Thomas @ Dec 13th 2008 3:50PM
It's MicroSD, not SIM
ace587 @ Dec 13th 2008 4:01PM

superhobo @ Dec 14th 2008 4:32AM
Bad screen.
Really bad screen.
BVK @ Dec 14th 2008 11:05AM
SO does anyone actually really know if an Ocean 2 is coming? Helio had a great idea, but not enough people dug it since market wise the iPhone stole the spotlight... And of course no one knew who the hell Helio was/is
davelogan77 @ Dec 14th 2008 5:32PM
....oh! ...Helio,.....yeah I remember them... I thought they where dead already...well die already...stupid helio.
VoX @ Dec 14th 2008 7:53PM
If America had ANYONE capable of appreciating what Korean Giant SK Telecom tried to give us, they'd be slapping themselves with a large trout.
I'm so ashamed to be an american. In a world where the "Trendy" OLD people all they way down to the "Teeny Boppers" think AT&T and Verizon are a good alternative just because they're shoved down your throat.
I bet most of you have Mcafee Antivirus or Norton installed on your computer, same damn mindset. Stupid, ignorant and buffet fed.
lol sigh
