NintendoWare Weekly: Minis March Again, Swords & Soldiers

With all of the excitement of E3 dying down, it's time we got back into the groove of things, and Nintendo knows that best. This week, the DSi gets some Mario vs Donkey Kong love, and WiiWare gets a pair of new titles. The Virtual Console isn't left out in the cold, either, as strategy fans will likely be interested in what Ghengis Khan is up to. So, head past the break and check out what's available for download from Nintendo this week.

DSiWare

  • Mario vs Donkey Kong: Minis March Again! (Nintendo, 1 player, 800 DSi Points): Donkey Kong is up to his usual hotheaded antics again, this time flipping out over one little party invite and kidnapping Pauline. You know, he really needs to work on his anger issues.

WiiWare

  • Swords & Soldiers (Ronimo Games, 1 - 2 players, 1,000 Wii Points): Ronimo Games' stylish WiiWare game finally releases in North America this week. We're anxious to get into the lab to measure just how much Morefun is in this thing. We'll be sure to get back to you all on that one.

  • Fish 'Em All (Abylight, 1 - 2 players, 800 Wii Points): Described as a "surreal action game," it stars two crankly old coots anxious to lure in big fish. It's kind of like Grumpy Old Men, without all of the jokes and lusting over older italian women.

Virtual Console

  • Ghengis Khan II: Clan of the Gray Wolf (SNES, 1 - 2 players, 800 Wii Points): That lovable scamp Ghengis Khan is at it again, seeking to unite the Mongol tribes and conquer the world in this strategy title. There will be plenty of competition, but luckily the history books aren't filled with those guys' names, so we have a feeling Ghengis pulls through in this one.
