Nyko Charge Base IC for Wii now shipping
Nyko's just unleashed its latest charging base for Wii controllers. This newest unit makes use of induction charging, so you can dispense with the sleeves, and just throw your contollers or Wands straight onto the dock for charging. The controllers are attached to the dock via magnets, and it also boasts a USB port for charging up other devices. The Nyko Charge base comes with two battery covers that are compatible with both Wiimotes and Nyko's own Wands, as well as two rechargeable battery packs. Based on the popular, worldwide best-selling original Wii Charge Station, the Charge Base IC is Nyko's newest controller charging dock for the Wii.
The Charge Base IC is Nyko's first induction charging dock for the Wii. Instead of using metal contact points to recharge the Wii Remote or Wand's batteries, the Charge Base IC utilizes induction technology to charge your controllers. The design of the Charge Base IC allows Wii Remotes or Wands to be charged without having to remove any silicone jackets or attachments such as Wii Motion Plus. The Charge Base IC utilizes powerful magnets to suspend each controller in the charging cradle, holding your controllers artfully in your entertainment center. The Charge Base IC also features a powered USB port which can be used for charging other devices.
