NintendoWare Weekly: Castlevania ReBirth, Pilotwings, Oregon Trail
Nintendo's been on quite the roll recently, providing plenty of content in its weekly offerings -- and today is no different. There are ten new titles to check out, including high-profile downloads such as Castlevania: The Adventure ReBirth, Oregon Trail and -- finally! -- Pilotwings on the Virtual Console. Head past the break to check out the full list.
DSiWare
The Oregon Trail (Gameloft, 1 player, 800 DSi Points): The popular game about life in the earliest days of the United States comes to the DSi, once again revealing the ultimate truth: eventually, dysentery claims all.
Sudoku Sensei (Hudson, 1 player, 500 DSi Points): This version of the number-based puzzler is geared toward veteran players, featuring "100 'Super Hard Puzzles' for the hardened sudoku veteran." See? It's for the veteran.
Glow Artisan (Powerhead Games, 1 - 2 players, 500 DSi Points): yYou can use the DSi to take pictures and turn them into puzzles,or play through the game's built-in 100-plus puzzlers. Black light and tie-dye not included.
Master of Illusion Express: Psychic Camera (Nintendo, 1 player, 200 DSi Points): This stripped minigame from the DS release uses the DSi's camera to take someone's picture, then reveal what they're thinking about.
Arcade Hoops Basketball (Skyworks Interactive, Inc., 1 player, 200 DSi Points): This is kinda like the free-throwing basketball minigame in Wii Sports Resort, except it lasts only 45 seconds and uses the stylus instead of a Wiimote.
WiiWare
Castlevania The Adventure ReBirth (Konami, 1 player, 1,000 Wii Points): This is a remake of Castlevania: The Adventure for Game Boy, complete with full color makeover and high levels of WANT.
Eat! Eat! Fight! (Tecmo, 1 - 2 players, 1,000 Wii Points): Tecmo's description is as follows: "Forget about being healthy. Here's a game that celebrates eating, getting fat and fighting." It's all the best parts about being an American, really -- and apparently isn't too shabby for a WiiWare game, either.
Rabbids Lab (Ubisoft, 1 player, 500 Wii Points): A rabbid is stuck in a big, virtual Wiimote and you've got to get 'em out. Once you do that, you can decorate him any way you want. May we suggest a Barabbid Obama?
The Magic Obelisk (Game Arts Co., LTD., 1 player, 500 Wii Points): Not to be confused with the black stone that monkeys love, this WiiWare game charges players with staying within the confines of the shadows, navigating a pair of spirits through treacherous levels so that Lukus, a tree spirit, can plant his roots.
Virtual Console
Pilotwings (SNES, 1 player, 800 Wii Points): Nintendo's classic flight sim finally hits the Virtual Console, tasking players with performing in a variety of Flight Club activities. You can pilot a plane, casually fly across the wind in a hang glider, or even skydive.
