Sprint's BlackBerry 8130 and 8330 get 4.5 update

For Pearl and Curve 8300 owners, BlackBerry OS 4.5 is something of a holy grail -- awesome, but pretty hard to find because carriers have generally been slow to roll it out. Fortunately, Sprint has graced owners of the 8130 and 8330 with the latest and greatest pre-4.6 goods, and what's more, tipsters are telling us that the latest version enables MMS messages. MMS, really? Reminds us of the year 2004, our road trip to the Canadian Rockies, and a simpler, more innocent time. But we digress; if you've got one of these devices, go kick off the download and get ready to play almost-catch-up to the 4.6-based 8350i, why don't you?[Thanks to everyone who sent this in]

I don't know if this is an AT&T thing because they don't lock down there phones or if its a Blackberry thing in general but if you go to the Blackberry website you can download the 4.5 update and install it on your phone with the Blackberry desktop manager. I know this because I just did this over the past weekend.
has to be for the same model phone.
I was able to do this on my 8300.
Sprint 4.5 Launch = FAIL
MMS hasn't been enabled on all of Sprints services yet so 3/4 of the people get a "Failed To Send Message" notice when attempting to send MMS. LMAO.
Niagra was initially slated for July/August, but they are attempting to push it to April (Don't go betting they will be able to do it in April considering the long line of FAIL from both RIM and Sprint).

Is the html email working for anybody? MMS is working fine, but no html for me so far...
From a technician standpoint that has already updated dozens of handsets, 1) yes mms does work but it is service book dependant, so after you do your upgrade push your service books or pull your battery for about a minute. 2) yes html email does work. 3) yes upgrading your device will require you to reactivate your enterprise activation if you had one
MMS and HTML is working on my sprint pearl. dont know what yall are talking about. this is a great update.
How do you get html working? Mine isn't and I have already turned it on in the settings
Does this upgrade remove the option to force roaming?
Alright...a little dissapointed...
MMS is outgoing only, incoming messages are still sms links to pm.
4.5 no longer allows outgoing SMS while on a voice call, incoming only.
And forced roaming IS NO LONGER an option - Automatic or home only.
I did the 4.5 update and now have an 8100 brick... I am trying to re-update, but it i telling me that it cannot connect to my device that I may need to enter the password on my BB.. I do not have a password that I have ever used on it. On the screen of the BB, I have a small representation of a computer screen with a circle, square and triangle in it. The image is has a circle with a cross line through it. Anybody have any input? Help please!!!
i upagraded by 8130 and now i cant do video. what is the fix?????
