We haven't heard much from
Tikitag since they showed up on the scene last September, sticking RFID tags to everything in sight. The Alcatel-Lucent Venture-backed company's popped up on the radar again, only this time it's taken on a more tactile-focused name, Touchatag, and is now touting 2D barcode support, including do-it-yourself tag creation system for adding some
QR ciphers to your business cards or anything else you wish to lay claim. No word on the new pricing -- a Tikitag RFID set was supposed to cost $50 in October -- but if you're interested in testing the service out, there's a sign up to join the developer community on their main site.

wow, new technology for iPhone
But is this an iPhone-only app, or can other devices use it?
I don't know !!!
BeeTagg has code readers for all phones, including iPhone http://www.beetagg.com, i think touchacode is not really mobile yet.
Nokia phones have had QR readers for years.
Yeah most latest Nokia phones have a Barcode reader pre install. This weel I've been playing with most QR code reader available for the iphone and by far the best one is (of course the paid one) Optiscan. 2d sense as well is not bad but optiscan is the fastest in scanning as it does a "live scanning"
I'm pretty sure most halfway capable phones with cameras have QR readers. But do you really need a system for this? You can just generate codes yourself and I'm pretty sure you can just go into a regular store and buy sticker paper. Is there anything about this that would make it worth getting?
Who else is reading this 'toosh-a-tag'?
Doesn't this make it *more* like the ill-fated Cue-Cat, not less?
Reminds me of that stupid CueCat device that Radio Shack was giving out years back.
It's a good thing for Alcatel there's not already a publicly available web site that does this: http://qrcode.kaywa.com/, And they're certainly the first to market with a USB RFID scanner: http://www.trossenrobotics.com/store/Search.aspx?searchTerms=rfid&submit=true
