While it was admittedly difficult to turn our attention away from ASUS'
Dual Panel touchscreen PC, we couldn't help but notice its latest Lamborghini-inspired machine. The newly announced
VX5 was on display here at
CeBIT, sporting a 1TB SSD, leather panel rests, that iconic Lamborghini logo and a few chrome accents to boot. Oh, and take our word for it -- that leather was supple. Real supple.

Looks pretty much like the old/new macbook keyboard to me....
Uncontrol @ Mar 3rd 2009 4:09AM
it's just an isolated keyboard, sony used it first, apple started using it, they're becoming progressively more common as time goes on, get over it
Cosmo @ Mar 3rd 2009 10:52AM
Sony used this keyboard style first in the X505 back in 2003, also the Macbook Air of its time, knowledge is power Apple fanboy! : )
Blue Fish @ Mar 3rd 2009 3:58AM
Is that some sort of aerial socket on the right hand side?
Not a pretty thing in my opinion, but I like the leather slip case!
Blazeralb @ Mar 3rd 2009 3:59AM
how many limbs does it cost?
Patriks7 @ Mar 3rd 2009 5:29AM
Well try selling your whole family, might help a bit.
Uncontrol @ Mar 3rd 2009 4:08AM
Not sure I like the idea of a leather palmrest!
Considering how extravagant it is, it looks a bit cheap.

Well, if you do a lot of gaming and have sweaty appendages, you're guaranteed to have a nice, slimy lubricant film between your wrists and the rest as the years go on...
mechachu @ Mar 3rd 2009 4:52AM
It's pretty... but... x.x what's the point? Honestly? I'd assume it costs a fortune. Sure it's got the "cool" factor but in the end, it's a laptop with unnecessary things to make it pretty and a hard drive that's been released to soon. Not to say it'll be a fail hard drive or anything, it's just too expensive right now I'm assuming. Never know, I could be wrong :D

WHY!?!?!?!
Maurof @ Mar 3rd 2009 6:30AM
I bet you'll have a chance to see one of those beasts "live" only in Lamborghini headquarters in Italy

1TB SSD
do want
Cassini @ Mar 4th 2009 8:29PM
OK, so let's see... the outside is very nice, the screen half on the inside is nice, the keyboard, trackpad, and wrist wrests all look nice. But to the left and top of the keyboard... uh... no. Not liking the styling there. It looks too busy in those two spots - the lines aren't clean (seen in the photo gallery - photo 21 of 23).
Maybe not a big deal to some, but details always matter and for the price this laptop will undoubtedly cost, they matter big. They could've done better with the styling than that.
karthik13 @ May 15th 2009 9:50AM
What's that thing to the left of the keyboard? Bioetrics?
Jose Luis @ May 26th 2009 7:14PM
Looks like it will not have a SSD disk, but a SATA one...
Well the biggest 1TB ssd words are going straight to the garbage...
And also the screen does not have a great resolution.. for 16" I expected 1900x1200 at least....
