Video: DIY Wolverine could totally take the Star Wars Kid
Maybe it's just us, timid bloggers sent recoiling at the mere touch of particles from what you call the Sun. But we're finding it hard to watch the video of this Wolverine fan without feeling a bit awkward, dangerously awkward. No doubt, the craftsmanship of his Wolverine claws is superb; a flex of the bicep releases the claws with the satisfying metallic shink of Adamantium blades locking into battle mode. Nevertheless, we hope this guy won't be sitting anywhere near us in the theater this weekend. See what we mean after the break.
Update: Er, the video has been pulled. Perhaps the cardboard finally won?

Omg. Is there a tutorial???
hay, one step at a time. The god damn video does not even work.
on the topic of 'does not work' who ddos'd 4chan ? and who is still doing it to /b/ ?.... this is getting bad, internet is serious business.
was not working temporarily. It is working now.
ahahha guy thinks he is the shit but only has one box to practice on...
apart from that those claws are MEAN.
Run when you see this dude walking down the street. I'll bet he's the hit at all the social gatherings. And I thought Freddy Krueger was scary. This guy is well beyond scary.
Nice catch, Engadget.
This kid would win!

What about the Halo kid?
Lame and corny...just like the movie.
How long til he gets arrested on a weapons possession charge?
That would depend on which state and/or country you live in ;)
This is so fucking primitive. The real way to do it: http://www.cracked.com/video_17328_why-having-wolverines-claws-would-suck.html
Wait a minute looks to me like this guy might actually have had adamantium poured ontop of his skeleton.
I coulda used this in prison.
This boy has issues...
Maybe he has issues to actually make them. But to be fair to him they make a pretty kick ass weapon, though I've just realized they can't retract by themselves which sucks a little.
Although it may be sad I would probably pay quite a fair amount for them.
From the video description"
"I made these myself out of steel and metal tubing. This was a request from a friend, and I enjoy the challenge of making stuff, so I took it. I know it's not impressive to beat up boxes, but honestly what else I am going to use to show that they really work and can take a beating. It was fun to make, and pretty fun to wear too. Oh, and I'm a perfectly sane person."
He says he isn't crazy, so it must be true!
Why does he have to have issues? Do you think everyone who owns cool or unique weapons has issues? He's killing boxes with them, for crying out loud. If he was talking about stabbing kittens or people, you might be on to something, but as it is I see nothing here that causes me to question his mental state. I am, however, concerned about you...
Why was the picture in the background of the screenshot photoshopped?
Is that star wars kid?
Third question, where's my prize?
Because the title of the post is "...could totally take the Star Wars Kid?" And sorry, there's no prize for being able to read the post title.
where do i send my credit card information?
send it to me..extra charges required.
how do you retract it? using your palm?
That's what she said.
No? :(
The box... says ow.
Oh no! Stop destroying our universe! :D
oh dear, what would his sister say.
:')
I see he's also growing that beard... fierce...
Man, his mom is gonna be pissed when she sees what he did to her wrapping paper box, OTOH, props for the mars volta soundtrack.
i think his mom will be pissed when she sees the rug after death from above move on the poor innocent box
wow just wow... thats so cool.
i love that trampoline in the background... good for his jumping strikes...
And this why I voted Wolverine for Vice President of the Earth.
Is his brother making DIY nail growing??
was this actually shot in the 80's or is his mom's living room frozen in time?
I still like the chainsaw bayonet better.

Highly geeky. Nerdy, even. Unsafe. Dangerous.
Very cool though...!
lol ! to look like spiderman in the video, the guy would have unknowingly pierces holes in his carpet !
seems he has enough free time to be a 30 year old and still play with that piece of junk :P
I believe the proper sound is snikt, not shink.
Congratulations, you've out-nerded the nerd in the vid.
Just kidding. There's no turning back for him.
I'm pretty sure that if you jumped down on a box like that, you could achieve just as much destruction with a spoon... In fact, had he used spoons it would probably have done more damage. Credit for the effort, but before making a video, I'd have made sure that the blades were sharp so when I swiped the box it did some decent damage. Not just the few holes you see at 0:20.
Awesome observation!
wow just wow... thats so cool.
amazing i wano to buy this . from where please
http://officialtech.com
what's the grudge he got against boxes -_-
WANT
Looks cool, but... Are the knives not sharp enough or does the box contains something? I have an impression that such strong first punches do so shallow penetrations or week cuts... Now if one would sharpen them to a razor like sharpness as I use to do with my tools for wood cutting...
The box is probably empty, and as such, too light. The claws would sink deeper if he had something heavy inside.
That is so cool.
But thank god he has the privacy of his home to do that : P
I don't think they retract....which turns out to be a problem...
he owned that box !
Hahaha!!!
