Utgarde Keep duo Dalronn the Controller and Skarvald the Constructor went down in flames (or Whirlwinds) in last week's Two Bosses Enter matchup, but we're not convinced that all UK bosses are whining nincompoops. This week's deathmatch pits another Utgarde Keep pair, Ingvar the Plunderer and Annhylde the Caller, against Azjol-Nerub's Krik'thir the Gatewatcher. While this duo seems almost as argumentative as the Dalronn/Skarvald duo, their teamwork seems a little more smooth. Will it be enough to overcome Krik'thir and his minions?
The ground rules:
- Assume that these foes share similar levels, health pools and a comparative overall damage output.
- This match takes place in neutral territory.
- Don't get caught up in game mechanics and what actual players might do in each encounter.
- Focus on the three S's: style, story and scale.
Ingvar the Plunderer and Annhylde the Caller
Ingvar: My life for the... death god!
Annhylde: Ingvar! Your pathetic failure will serve as a warning to all... you are damned! Arise and carry out the master's will!
Ingvar the Plunderer is the last boss in Utgarde Keep, directing the attacks on Valgarde from the balcony over the waterfall in Daggercap Bay. Under his command, the dragon riders revel in slaughtering their enemies from above without warning.
Like the Valkyries of old, Annhylde the Caller summons Ingvar to battle, resurrecting him when fallen as an Undead champion.
Ingvar the Plunderer
Annhylde the Caller
- Resurrection Upon Ingvar's initial death, Annhylde resurrects him in Undead form to fight anew.
Krik'thir the Gatewatcher
Keep an eye on the tunnel. We must not let anyone through!
I hear footsteps. Be on your guard.
I sense the living. Be ready.
Krik'thir, an Undead Nerubian vizier, is the first boss of Azjol-Nerub who guards the gate that leads further into the ancient city. His commander, Anub'Arak, is a powerful servant of the Lich King.
Krik'thir is accompanied by three groups of three spiders, led by Watcher Silthik, Watcher Gashra and Watcher Narjil. Some groups contain an Anub'ar Skirmisher. Once the first group of spiders has entered battle, the others (and later Krik'thir himself) will eventually join in.
- Watcher Silthik
- Watcher Gashra
- Watcher Narjil
- Anub'ar Skirmisher
