Logitec makes routers fashionable again with ultraslim LAN-W300N/R
It's part PS2 Slim, part AspireRevo. And according to Logitec, the LAN-W300N/R is the company's thinnest 802.11n router ever. Measuring just 7 millimeters thick at its thinnest and 24 millimeters thin at its thickest, this ultra-glossy wireless router packs a pair of inbuilt antennas, four LAN ports, a WAN socket and an AC input. Beyond that, the device seems relatively unmoving, with a ¥9,100 ($95) price tag and a late August release over in Japan.

Clarification for people: A company called Logitec existed in Japan long before Logitech ever did, so they're allowed to use that name in their home country, Logitech goes by something else.
(I've gotten confused by this before.)
I thought there was an "H" missing from that title
Glad you pointed that out, my first thought was "since when does Logitech make routers....".
According to Wikipedia, Logitech goes by "Logicool" in Japan.

Am I the only one that buries their router somewhere completely out of sight?
Nope i think most people do.
Indeed, daniel jackson.
Mine is behind the big ansel adams picture on the floor. I usually go for a fully featured router not a fashionable one.
plug router in, throw behind TV.
(thats what the manual said)
they stole their design from the slim ps3...kratos is going to be pissed
A newly released router with no USB inputs for networking external drives?
My thought exactly, bit undermining trust if they forgot even that basic thing, perhaps that's why the article specifies it has a WAN port, because I guess their previous model router didn't.....
If you only have one computer, having a NAS storage is useless...just plug the USB harddrive directly to the computer.
If you have more then one computer, plug the USB drive to your Desktop, and share it...then it works the same.
If you have more then one compute and only use laptops...god help you.
First thing I thought was PS3 Slim.
Thought I was the only one who saw that and screamed "SLIM PS3!!!"
Ditto. I was wondering why it wasn't "Breaking" news... lol
The title says that "Logitec makes routers fashionable again" so when were routers ever "Fashionable" before? Besides, who cares? 90% of the people who have routers don't really take care of em anyway. Guaranteed they are stuffed down behind some piece of furniture collecting dust in 90% of people's homes...
No sir, I don't like it.
Yeah, me neither. Looks like something out of the early 90s...only in oh-so-fashionable shiny black instead of beige/grey.
Slim and router do not go hand in hand.
One main problem with home routers is they're so compact that there's little room for heat to escape leading to freezing and bad performance after some heavy usage.
Feel the underside of any N/Gigabit router after it's been used solidly to see why.
How come I read that as linksys.
Oh well... my old wireless router needs to be replaced but I am waiting for ones with the new USB 3.0 standard for attached hard drives, and the non draft 802.11n styles. Maybe fer the new year.
wake me up Logitech stops making crap and/or gets a support department with a collective IQ over 17.
Wake me up when you've RTFA.
That's fashionable?
Oh my god XD I saw that and my heart jumped. I seriously thought you guys found leaked pics of the slim PS3.
If anybody wants my WRT54G... well, you can pry it from my cold, dead, hands!
Same!
PS3 Slim?
My favorite router is the ol' Linksys ones that you could stack. So nice to have the modem otop of the router and out of the way.
Logitech makes routers? Oh wait...
Um, what happened to external antennas? I won't buy one of these styles for myself or my clients. I tried that before and found out quickly how big a mistake it was.
Why? Mine sits in the dark in a 19" rack in my basement....
