The Daily Grind: Should MMOs launch on the same day?

You know where I'm going with this already, don't you? Today is the launch of both Aion and Fallen Earth, and while many MMO fans believe that this will spell disaster for the least-popular one, others recognize the fact that they appeal to completely opposite groups of gamers.

But today's launch demographics aside, is releasing an MMO on the same day as another MMO generally a good idea? There's always a possibility of crossover between any two games -- even in the case of Aion and Fallen Earth -- but competition is competition, right?
