Jabra Stone to bring 'new shape' to Bluetooth headset field
C'mon, cut us some slack here. We're suckers for teasers, and our intuition says that you are too. Jabra, who has definitely done a thing or two for the Bluetooth headset realm, is apparently looking to reveal a "new shape" on October 20th, though it'll only be sold through AT&T (at least initially). Heck, there's even a countdown timer over on the outfit's teaser page for those who'd like to watch every second from now till then tick away, not to mention a brief video that tersely details the forthcoming excellence. So, got any bright ideas about what this thing could be? The second coming of the BT headset? Just another tchotchke?

Let me guess! Its egg shaped, except a little flatter, with a protruding oval on top?
Congratulations! You won a black plastic bluetooth doohickey that you can wear like a total douche in public places like restaurants, bars, museums, etc,.
@ZuneSucks
I would rather post RELEVANT COMMENTS than RANDOMLY TROLL and hate on people...
Speaking of relevancy, rv, I commend your powers of perception.
according to gizmodo it looks like this;

no...this new bluetooth headset is not ur mom.
Unfortunately, you will still look stupid wearing it in public
Once one tries the excellency of the Nokia BH 904 will never accept anything else.
Im not exactly enticed. this will be quite the 'teaser' if this is actually innovative.
thats unenforceable, though. Every time a cop pulls you over you could say that you were singing.
Or you could just drive faster, RCMP will never catch you on horseback. Hosers!
Why will it be sold through AT&T though?
My thoughts exactly. And thank you for a relevant, topical question. As opposed to ointment....
Forget banning while driving, outlaw being a loud a-hole while walking around Target on your bluetooth.
My fav is still people walking around with their crap phones on speaker, holding them directly in front of their face at about 4" and yelling at them... seriously? c'mon now...
I am sucker for teasers but this better be good or Jabra will lose credibility. If you have the guts to tease you better have some umph to back it up. Or else....
You'll still be hated for talking to ghosts.Not to mention ignoring cashiers and servers.
Basic image editing shows it's very.... round. Prior to its opening...

AT&T stores have gotten a few promo units for managers. The basic shape is a bit bulbous however the cool thing is that it rests on a transductive stone allowing it to charge. just go into any AT&T store and ask them to see the banner for it where the Plantronic units sits now and they will bring it out and you will see a full res photo of the stone.
That's probably a pic of the BT device in it's charger / carrier. I'm gonna guess that the charger also has a battery that will be able to re-charge the device on-the-go / when idle.
They will no doubt hire a few uber popular celebreties to sport it and suddenly it will be the biggest thing in fashion.
the cops here in my small town (35,000 people) use Dodge Magnums (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dodge_Magnum#Police_Version)
but on topic, I don't think it'll work, except of course those dumb people that don't hid their phones when they are pulled over :P
Wow, judging by the marketing, we should spend the next month staring at their little countdown clock in uncontrollable excitement.
Looks, um... stone shaped.
1. You open the flip thingee there and wear it on your head ala Dark Helmet - Spaceballs style.
2. The flip thingee is just the overly pretentious packaging and has nothing to do with the actual product at all.
This kind of rule has already been implemented in a few states of India (mine too). There goes my existing Jabra.
