Look, we get the whole drive
behind this 3D thing. For some, there's no better way to experience sports, films, or
console game play and consumer electronics companies are desperate for a source of new revenue. But creating a 280-inch 3D LED display meant for
public areas doesn't make a lot of sense long-term unless we're expected to carry those swank, polarized glasses everywhere we go. Nevertheless, Sony was demonstrating the 6.4 x 3.4-meter behemoth at the International Broadcast Equipment Exhibition 2009 in Japan. The panel combines 70 LED displays into a single monstrosity of overlapping images. If nothing else this "3D LED Wall" demonstrates Sony's rabid commitment to 3D for 2010 and an ominous future for our friends
working in Times Square. See it in action after the break if you care.
Holy Balls! Those crazy Japanese Strike Again! : ) Is there anything they cant do!
This would be perfect for my bedroom.
@SNESimon : The girls?
you mean having a wall?
For a sec I thought Thomas was talking about Times Square in HK. Then I clicked on the link.
@Fais It would be nice though, now that you mention it?
Can we pay in KongBucks?
@Tim ding ding ding ding ding, we have a winner!
@Tim

taiwanese company releases something in hong kong, why the screen shot has everything in japanese?
@htd Somebody doesn't get the reference ;)
As a tech lover, this is pretty awesome.
What's this about Mr. Lee's Greater Hong Kong? I can't find anything in the links. If it's coming here I want to know about it.
They are being clever and alluding to Neil Stephenson's "Snow Crash". Good Book :)
Try reading it NOW without wincing at the 90's cliches. It's like watching the movie "Hackers"... but, you know... good.
Can I play Crysis on that???
I don't know. Can you?
I think I could if I was able to lay my hands on this thing...
although I don't know wether Crysis is in 3D imaging yet.
Who/what is "Mr. Lee's Greater Hong Kong"? i guess its a company? Any international minds can enlighten me?
I want to know what she's saying about EXCAM and wifi.

As a citizen of The Mews at Windsor Heights, will I be able to get one of these?

Hmm, 3D porn on that. The possibilities are limitless. ;-)

3D cleavage is always better than 2D cleavage. :D
Where's the Rat Thing?
0.46 - 0.57 I can just about make out a slight depth illusion when you notice the lady at the front against the background. Unreal!
You think I can convince someone to buy me this for christmas? XD
Wow, I hope it's not 720P!
Samurai sword wielding pizza delivery guy's here we come! Here's to Hiro Protagonist!
Her low cut jacket with no blouse is making my spiritual pressure rise
I love the Snow Crash reference!
Maybe the next time I get contacts, I'll need to get them polarized. This would leave me ready to see 3D anytime it's in use, like 3D billboards or such.
I wonder what cons I would have with wearing circularly-polarized contact lenses on a regular basis...
