NintendoWare Weekly: Fast Draw Showdown, Trajectile, Final Fight 3

This week might be a bit lighter on the triple-A WiiWare content than last week (which saw the releases of Castlevania: The Adventure ReBirth and The Magic Obelisk), but there are still numerous titles available for Wii and DSi owners. One of which is Final Fight 3!

And one more of which, you lucky downloaders, is the promised Fast Draw Showdown, which means you can be shooting at full motion video–captured, Old West–types today. A "yee-haw" would seem appropriate right now.

WiiWare

  • Heron: Steam Machine (Triangle Studios, 1-4 players, 500 Wii Points): Framed adorably as the operation of a rubber ducky factory, this puzzle game features Pipe Dream-ish gameplay. Rotate pipes to form a continuous channel for steam.

  • Pub Darts (Big Blue Bubble, 1-4 players, 500 Wii Points): This game uses the Wii Remote to simulate the motion of throwing darts -- except, and we must stress this -- for the release. Please keep the Wii Remote in your hand while playing Pub Darts.

  • Fast Draw Showdown (Digital Leisure, 1-2 players, 500 Wii Points): Yes, you can now download an arcade full motion video game, which used to cost like a dollar per play at the Putt-Putt, to your own Wii for five bucks. See, 2010 is the future!

Virtual Console

  • Final Fight 3 (SNES, 1-2 players, 800 Wii Points): The first Final Fight game to be developed solely for a console sees Haggar and Guy joined by Cody's friend Lucia and former gang member Dean in a bid to take down the Skull Cross gang. If that's not exciting enough, Haggar changes into some shorts for this one!

DSiWare

  • Animal Puzzle Adventure (Aksys Games, 1 player, 500 DSi Points): Lead animals to their barns in self-contained, floating maps, avoiding obstacles in this cute DSiWare puzzler. Live the adventure!

  • Trajectile (Nintendo, 1 player, 500 DSi Points): You may already have heard of this Q-Games-developed title as Reflect Missile. It gets a new name for North America, but the same objective: to destroy a formation of blocks, Breakout-style, using a limited number of ricocheting missiles.

  • Hell's Kitchen Vs. (Ludia, 1-2 players, 800 DSi Points): An abbreviated version of a retail DS game, Hell's Kitchen Vs. combines the challenge of performing "rigorous culinary tests" against another person with the challenge of concentrating on your scallops while being yelled at by an English chef.
