Looks like the world's still got appetite for some more
pico projectors, as
Favi's releasing a pair some time between late February and early March for prices yet unknown. First is the RIOLED-Q (pictured) which sports a pretty 800 x 600 native resolution at 50 lumens -- supposedly the best brightness in class (like the
Optoma PK301), along with built-in SD / MMC card reader, battery, three-watt stereo speaker and an ever-so-handy digital keystone correction. Joining the party is the smaller RIOLED-V which is shy about its display specification, but proudly packs a card reader and WiFi to cater its various web apps for YouTube, Flickr, Picasa, Yahoo News, Weather, Email, Internet Radio and web browser. Too bad it doesn't do
phone calls.
But what would I use it for?
These micro/pico projectors seem like a solution waiting for a problem!!
looks like a whole bunch of crap to me
Maybe this is part of the path to a portable hologram.
I have that pen! that is one of the best drug rep pens I've ever used! It's heavy, metal, and the blue ink never runs out lol
@TwhiT

@TwhiT Yea well I have a pen that can write in space =p

Perfect for making people watch your youtube videos on the go.
RIOLED-Q now there's an acronym for ya..
this is getting a little out of hand.
for slamming a video on the wall for a 10' show... or when you have nothing better to do while camping...
As Richard Lai eluded to; it would be nice to see embedded in another device. If it played movies and could display a Power Point presentation I could the advantages.
I have been giving more and more presentations (with Power Pointer) and hate caring around a laptop and projector. A iPod or similar smart phone with a descent amount of lumens and battery life would be ideal.
Hell even a supplementary iPod battery wrapper with the projector build in would great. Just it can display any content that the iPod can display (and display power point slide shows). This would be something I would pick up and use.
