Sony's noise-canceling earphones US-bound in February
You didn't have to wait until now to pick up Sony's MDR-NC300D noise-canceling earphones -- after all, they've been imported from Japan since their June debut. Still, now that the 'buds are hitting official status US routes in February, it'll be a heck of a lot easier to make that impulse buy. No price mentioned, but expect at least a few Benjamins to automatically eject from your wallet.

i bet they will be over priced and have bad build quality
Don't forget the part where they never fucking stay in your ears
@MichaelB Hmm, the $30 buds are okay, really. Don't know about these.
@MichaelB
As far as I know the only sony buds that have durability problems are the cheap in-ear ones (although more than a year ago I bought the cheapest set for situations where I don't care about what happens to them, at all, and they still work perfecly).
Plenty of pennies will do!
Looks old school.
Sounds like Sony finally have enough used, returned and unwanted units from Japan to be dumped in the US.
I have the NC33, which are the earbuds currently available and they are fantastic. I am sure that the big Bose earphones are better, but if you want earbuds with great active noise cancellation, Sony does a great job.
@Fizy
Too bad Bose is terrible quality.
@pspkicks
actually bose sound quality is good, just overpriced
They need Bluetooth stereo A2DP. iPhone compatible, of course.
@(Unverified) But will you buy it then?
I bought Sennheiser CX300 earphone for less than 30 bucks not long ago. If you do research you can get very descent earphone for very cheap. And if I am spending extra money I'd rather get shure's e2c or se series, because those earphone block external sounds much better.
Seriously, why would anybody use noise-canceling earphone when sound-isolating earphones do a much better job blocking sound? does any one have an answer for that?
Whoever said their Bose full size are better, well of course, inner ears are never going to be able to produce the kind of sound you get from a full size. I have UE Triple Fi 10 and they sound like crap next to my Denon D5000.
And I agree with the last post. Just getting some CX300's or any $30 Sony Fontopia's are going to block out enough sound and not introduce any crappy white noise to mix into your music.
AS USUAL,THE JAPS ALWAYS GIVE US THEIR LEFTOVERS WHEN THEY ARE DONE WITH THEIR MEALS.
I have a pair of SONY MDR-NC22 noise canceling headphones, the predecessor to these, below is my in-depth review of their performance:
UTTER-CRAP
My Sony MDREX90LP headphone still kickin' years later. Might considered upgrade if it cost less than a Benjamin. Sony headphone has some nice quality unlike Crapple headphone.
I've been using my Sony earbuds for years now (the model under the -71s). They seem to work perfectly. I used a pair of Bose QuietComfort 3's on a recent trip and it didn't work too well with my PSP. They definitely cut the external sounds, but I couldn't hear the movie I had on my PSP. I plugged in my Sony earphones and suddenly I could hear again.
