DirecTV mobile app now live on Android Market
If you're familiar with DirecTV's iPhone app, then this fresh Android release should be no stranger as both free apps offer the same handy search and record functionalities. No official requirements published yet, but an educated guess would suggest they'd be the same as the iPhone counterpart. The lucky folks over at DBSTalk have once again had a chance to preview this DirecTV app before it went live on Android Market last night, so either get to downloading or head over now for their dandy walkthrough.

Sure, but what about the iPad? Any more news on that?
Let's not forget that Blackberry users continue to get screwed by DirecTV. Android before BB? Pathetic...
@Robert Mechum Actually, I'm pretty sure that whole bank robbery DirecTV commercial where the guy is on the floor setting his DVR from his phone was using a BlackBerry Pearl. I'm almost positive that BlackBerry has had some of this functionality for a while, even before iPhone, if I'm not mistaken.
@dstafford72
Sorry ur mistaken there... He was using the "tv" version of m.directv.com.... Ya it does suck bit not for me cause I got an android phone do sorry...
About time.
Wow ... it took over 9 hours to get that second pic?
Oh ... looking for 3G signal, huh?
And look at all the battery life wasted in order to find it.
What a shame.
Need an option to Hide HD duplicates....other than that...its just as good as the iphone app...and now the WebOS app...
