WRUP: Waking Redemption edition
Both Alan Wake and Red Dead Redemption came into our lives and delivered solid gaming experiences this week. Heck, this year has been a delicious smorgasbord. We're so fat on gaming it's ridiculous. No, really, we're getting pudgy from all the extra time inside. Remember sunlight? Yeah, sunlight was awesome.
What's everyone playing?
Alexander Sliwinski (@XanderSliwinski): Playing London: The Wandering.
Andrew Yoon (@scxzor): My weekend will be spent playing even more Mario Galaxy 2. It is amazing.
Ben Gilbert (@BigBossBgilbert): Hopefully I can stop playing Trials HD long enough to play anything else. Oh, and probably Portal, because it's right here and, well, why not?
Christopher Grant (@ChrisGrant): I've only got one day at home this weekend, so instead of making minimal progress in Final Fantasy XIII, I'm going to take my old friend Sam Fisher out for a spin.
David Hinkle (@DaveHinkle): When I'm not cursing the rubber banding AI in Split/Second, I'll likely be cursing the Taken in Alan Wake, who like to pop out from the brush when you least expect it. Thankfully, I've become quite adept at shooting those people in the face with a flare gun.
Griffin McElroy (@griffinmcelroy): Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is on its way from GameFly, but it's going to have a hard time pulling me away from Red Dead Redemption. Speaking of, if anyone wants to play online with me, just look for the crazy old prospector, slapping wildly on a banjo, vehemently insisting that thar's gooold in them thar heeels.
James Ransom-Wiley: I've got Alan Wake and Red Dead on my plate this weekend -- but not much time to eat. Good thing game discs are nonperishable!
JC Fletcher (@jcfletcher) "I am only a man," which means I'm probably going to be reduced to tears by Bit.Trip Runner.
Justin McElroy (@JustinMcElroy): (Lost in Red Dead Redemption or Alan Wake)
Ludwig Kietzmann (@LudwigK): I have an eclectic weekend planned: Some chip-tuned platforming with Bit.Trip Runner; some freelance police work with Sam & Max; and a belligerent breakdown of brickwork in Battlefield: Bad Company 2. I might also replay Alan Wake, if only to see his uncontrolled caffeine kleptomania reach its sad conclusion (I'm missing nine thermoses!).
Mike Schramm (@MikeSchramm): All Red Dead Redemption, all the time. Giddyup, pardner.
Randy Nelson (@DangerPenguin) I've spent the week playing Super Mario Galaxy 2 (it's great!) but this weekend is all about Red Dead Redemption. They're pretty much the same game, right?
Richard Mitchell (@SenseiRAM): BioShock 2 is done, so that leaves more time for God of War 1, Torchlight, 3D Dot Game Heroes and maybe Panzer Dragoon Saga.
Xav de Matos (@Xav): I'm taking a trip into the harrowing future in Metro 2033 and jumping back to the death of the Wild West in Red Dead Redemption.
