Microsoft demos new Kinect dashboard and voice control
Thought Kinect was just for kicking balls and making a fool of yourself? Oh now, you can now use it to do everything from find your friends and to control media playback. With a wave the Xbox 360 pops into a new Dashboard which you can manage by moving your hands around. It also supports voice control, enabling you to say "Xbox Play" or "Xbox Pause" or, you know, whatever. Easy!

Hey Kristin!
It's beautiful and looks fun to use, but is it worth it at the price they want? We will see!!!
@Professor Hubert J Farnsworth
What idiot will buy this?
AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's what she said
Wow! A scripted video conference!
How exciiizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
@Anim8me2
oh so you think your Steve Highness presentation are not scripted? it's obvious you are an Apple fanboi so please stop trolling.
@nickcraze I think you're missing a few steps in connecting point A to point G there.
Your move Nintendo and Sony.
@lnm4444
We shall find out tomorrow
@commenter7 He'res an Idea: Nintendo makes a neural connector ala Matrix. Sony goes all the way with a new improved network called Skynet.
"Xbox RROD!"
And how exactly is that making less of a fool of yourself?
What is it with Microsoft and naming things with "Kin" recently?
@katas
branding maybe, like apple with i
@katas

@money

@Troy1947
Stop spamming, troll.
geez!! i felt like I was really in a sci fi movie!!! it was awesome
... So uh, how 'bout that Wii UI microsoft? Got an inspiration somewhere? I know business works on the practice of looking at what one company has and improving on it to sell yours instead of theirs but...
Uh.
Your UI has a bit of nintendo on it, lemmie wipe that off for you.
thinking about games... I dont see a loot of use with all this... think about it... they can make a few sport games maybe... but what about a shutter?! what you gonna do to shot!! shake a toe!!!! say FIRE!!! FIRE!!! (imaging screaming FIRE at 2:30 am)
I think is a good idea for a few games... like I say, SOME sports games... but for a loot of games you will need buttons...
Bing is now on 360... this could mean Maps, Visual Search, Travel, News etc with Avatar support.
MS may look to add Windows Media Center's Internet TV feature to the 360 natively.
Seems as if MS will be the first to add an online music store directly into their dash with Zune music... would be really cool if they include Zune Pass as part of the gold membership.
Good job Microsoft! Now there is new a benchmark in gaming console.
Also note that the standard controller-based dashboard is getting a makover to match the Zune/WP7 Metro style http://bit.ly/ch7opb
motion controls.
if you have to pay 150$ to get them, they blew it.
@drkztan
It costs $120 or $129 (including the game) for one person. It's not much cheaper than Kinect. So if people are okay with the price of "Move," then they should be fine with the price of Kinect.
I liked the title "Natal" better......
