Visualized: Tesla owner talks smack using world's greatest vanity plate
Owning one of the world's most electrifying and exclusive four-wheelers not enough for you? In that case, you'll probably be wanting a bright orange paintjob and a vanity plate that rubs pretty much every other road user up the wrong way.

LOL OIL FTMFW!
it rubs me the right way. pssh.
@Psyclotr0n
Wow, I am motivated to have my license plate say LOL - something
Like..
LOLZ WTF
or
WTF OMG
@Psyclotr0n
That is pure win!
@uckApple
I have WTF FTW or WTF H4X or LOL HAX taken for AZ!
@Psyclotr0n How about ELK TRK
@Psyclotr0n I want:
PWNURMA
@DrScope Elk Track?
@Psyclotr0n
Right on.
I'd have mine say "OMGWTFBBQ"
@Psyclotr0n I am sure that I'm not the only one to point out that a LOT of oil was used to manufacture that car.......or is this the first hydrocarbon free vehicle ever (read: plastic bits to name one) he can run that up his lol flagpole
@Psyclotr0n
I wanna get one that says REDRKT
@Psyclotr0n Too bad the car is still lubricated with oil... and is made with plastics that are made with oil... and drives on tries that are made with oil... Yeah more like LOL IGNORANCE
@Josh S
Exactly what I was thinking, Josh. Quite literally NONE of that car would be possible without the use of petroleum products. More like "LOL FAIL"
@Blackflag486
You're not sure which plate you have?
@Josh...over the lifetime of the car it maybe uses .5% the oil of a normal car. So yes, I would say LOL OIL...
@Psyclotr0n
And I'm sure all that electricity comes from solar to. I'm sure he thinks he just plugs it in and the rest is magic.
@cybervipr
True, but there still is the fact that the electricity used to recharge the cars batteries is generated from multiple different sources. About 76% of the USA's energy production is from coal, natural gas, and oil. Not that electric cars are bad, they're moving in the right direction, but they're not as environmentally friendly as people think.
In this case "there is a charge for awesomeness and attractiveness"
No one can match his (or her) shear BODASITY!
FRACKIN AWESOME!!
@crayjay actually the site suggests that u go off the grid with all solar
@cybervipr
and 50000% of the coal. Big whoop.
@rollingwave GAS GZLR
@crayjay
All of your quoted resources are more efficient than burning gasoline in a car... So again, still better.
LOL
@abedinthehouse LOL COAL.
HA! That is on the NB 5 at the 55 in Santa Ana.
@MRPysnik
retaining walls and asphalt REPRAZENT!
@Psyclotr0n You know it! That stuff is crazzy!
@MRPysnik Why yes it is! The image was snapped at 3:45pm on Sunday afternoon right after the I-5 / SR-55 Junction, heading north and passing the Pridemark Insurance agency building. I drive that strip almost every single day from Costa Mesa to Anaheim and back.

Foursquare and Gowalla tell me that I checked into the I-5 / SR-55 Junction around 4pm. Just missed it!

tesla roadster isnt even close to being "one of the most expensive" cars. i literally stopped reading the article there.
and that car is just a rebadged lotus elise with powerpacks. zomg revolutionary! did i mention the interior materials are low quality, and feels cramped and uncomfortable?
did i mention the car is just completely ugly, and you can get a real electric car like the chevy volt for a fraction of this cars price?
@MicrosoftOwns ....I'm 6' 6" and STILL had extra leg room.
@MicrosoftOwns The Model S is gorgeous though.
@MicrosoftOwns real electric car? tesla is the only real electric car, it can get more than 200 miles per charge, or if you are a lead foot accelerates 0-60 in 3.7 seconds. All other electric / hybrids are a joke compared to it, and I look forward to how the model S turns out.
@gltovar Its a toy for two persons and a sixpack of beer, no more. I can load more into a Smart than that thing.
@MicrosoftOwns
I'm sorry, I couldn't here you ranting over the sound of how awesome Tesla is.
@MicrosoftOwns
So when did you go drive one?
Because most that have came out grinning from ear to ear.
@gltovar For 200 miles you would have to charge it for 40 hours. Can't really take it that far from home.
@MicrosoftOwns Well, it's far from being the most expensive, yes, but other than that? Yes, based on a Lotus, but heavily modified. It's very attractive too.
@kirbyatemytoothbrush The sound of silence.
@MicrosoftOwns
In other news, people were astonished to find out that the BMW M3 is nothing more than a series 3 BMW, with only a better engine (and other minor specs) and it actually costs more! OMGWTFBBQ!!
@Bahumbug
It's called a sports car you stupid shit.
@MicrosoftOwns if a car is MORE expensive than MOST cars, I think logic would tell you it is one of the most expensive. Sure there are a decent amount that are more expensive. But the overwhelming majority of cars cost significantly less than 110,000.
PS when a volt an perform like this, i'll + ur comment.
@MicrosoftOwns I think you seriously have problems you take your time to bitch like a little girl on every article Engadget puts out get a life and a new hobby.
@MicrosoftOwns
If you think the Chevy Volt is a real electric car - then go ahead and waste 30K of your non-existent money. You'll be sorely disappointed - as I am in you for not doing research.
@MicrosoftOwns The Chevy volt is a real electric car?
Its not actually, its a hybrid. The Tesla is a true electric car running on batteries only. And while it is in fact a modified Lotus Elise, doesn't that make it a great car from the start? The Lotus is the perfect place to start while making an electric car. It's light and aerodynamic, which makes it perfect for some batteries to replace its polluting engine. Did I mention that its faster than its Lotus counterpart 0-60? The Lotus will do 0-60 in about 4.9 seconds, and the Tesla: 3.7.
And as for your beloved Chevy volt, it will hardly do 0-60, let alone in a measurable amount of time.
So if you're going to bitch about Tesla, go do its where there are other idiots like you. Thanks.
@Knifes Edge I like the Tesla too, but the Volt is a series hybrid which means it will run all-electric, the gas engine is solely a backup electric generator. I think it's actually an excellent compromise for those who will occasionally need the extra range.
@Knifes Edge
"Did I mention that its faster than its Lotus counterpart 0-60? The Lotus will do 0-60 in about 4.9 seconds, and the Tesla: 3.7."
Faster straight line acceleration doesn't necessarily mean that the Tesla is a faster car. Put a Exige S and a Roadster on a twisty course together and I think you'd find that the Exige would happily hand the Roadster it's ass.
**cough reddit cough*** sorry had to get that out of my throat
@BobStewart
?
@uckApple the source from digg stole it from reddit.com's front page. He is known for doing that. That is all
@BobStewart
Oh God, you're one of those.
@insky Yes, yes he is. That is all.
