LG VL600 LTE / CDMA modem for Verizon in the wild?
You might remember that an LTE modem for Verizon passed FCC muster not long ago -- now, it seems we're getting our first glimpse of it. As is usually the case with these early devices on next-gen networks, this USB stick doesn't look quite as svelte as we'd probably like it to be, but we have little doubt that they'll get progressively thinner and sexier over the course of a year or three. And hey, in the meantime, far be it from us to steer clear of faster download speeds just because the modem's a little chubby, you know?

Does this... yes, I think so. This... changes....EVERYTHING.
@liquidkernel Verizon's LTE plan's are probably going ridiculous, at least $40 and everyone is complaining about Sprint's $10 "4G" WiMax fee.. Hopefully Verizon does not put a Data Cap on LTE
@liftedngifted1
What are all of you going to say when it cost the same?
@liquidkernel
I never trust wireless signal anyway. Still prefer the good old phone line and modem because I'm less likely to get my head shot off during a gameplay. Plus, why would anyone want to carry around a brick? But if they release a phone with LTE then that's a different story.
@liftedngifted1 knowing Verizon they will blanket the entire country with LTE which is more than I can so for Sprints "slower than HSPA" 4G.
@liquidkernel
seriously awesome but i rather see a LTE smartphone in the wild. to be honest though i am not a laptop kind of man. i like server at home, remote capable smartphone for mobility. as a verizon man i cant wait
I'm more interested in seeing an LTE phone
more interested in a wifi hotspot like the mifi. Need something the same size or slimmer.
Great I hope they dont scew it up with high prices and coverage in limited areas
@Nintendoftl oh and are the lte sims compatible with gsm phones (verizon unlocked. Iphone)
@Nintendoftl
the iPhone soesnt support LTE, so no. although once the iPhone 4G, comes out it should work.
@blargg so the sims aren't backwards compatible i thought they had evdo in the sins along with lte oops but i shouldn't have asked and my ramblings are getting me downranked so thx mr blargg
@Nintendoftl The LTE SIMs are compatible with GSM phones. Verizon has a block on GSM roaming in the US, Canada and Mexico, but it will work on all other GSM networks (the SIM, not the modem).
@Nintendoftl - SIM cards don't have radios. It doesn't "do" LTE or GSM. It's a device for authentication with a network.
I like my modems with a little meat on their bones
@repo105 pretty in the face and thick in the waist
Fat girls need love too.
When is CDMA going to die...
@Mivanx77 5 4 3 2...
@Mivanx77
CDMA will die when CDMA carriers can create a two layer system of technology. It only make sense so you don't have dropped calls or loss of data. Sorta like GSM carriers that have 3G as the main with EDGE as a backup.
@Mivanx77
When you die.
@Mivanx77 - Not for a very, very long time.
Hey, Verizon. Seriously, where is Sammy Fascinate.

This makes me not care about whatever extremely small, extremely experimental, moderately fast 4G network Verizon has out.
Just find it Ironic that T-Mobile and Verizon LTE are using the same frequency block, hopefully there might not be any interference.
