What engadget isn't telling you guys not here is that to participate in this you need to leave and give up your spot...people, including winners of tickets through sprint, have been waiting for about 2 hours to get seats. Leave now, find lucky charms and fail...back of the line!

I went to the previous Engadget Show (with Jimmy Fallon and Kinect) and yea, you have to stand in line for a long time, but that's what first come first serve is. The show is free, they give away free stuff, and you can be a character in a video game for a box of fucking cereal. You don't have to leave the line if you don't want to.

@damian Nah, wasn't me. I got there at about 8:20, not having tickets (as I am just a tourist in NYC who had a serious" holy shit" moment reading the Engadget widget and realizing the live show was only a twelve block walk from my location). I was hoping the security would take pity on me - alas I don't think she even spoke English.
@pyro786 the shortish lady you are talking about? She gave me a little hassle but i showed her the bags and luckily one of the organizers i believe who work at the times building saw me with the cereal and how i was legit even with a ticket decided to let me in.

hehe i had a great time there! the kid ran really fast to get those lucky charms!
I had ran about twenty blocks to get 7 boxes of the lucky charm cereal. Came back, the security guard was like nah ... cant let u in. Showed them my ticket and my boxes and got in no problem. Gave people who told me to get a box for them then gave away the rest.
BTW i think engadget should have side missions before the show ... like a last minute scramble to accomplish a task for a prize. Just getting a box of cereal was never so much fun.
