Welcome back to The Queue, WoW.com's daily Q&A column in which the WoW.com team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Adam Holisky, senior editor at WoW.com and webmaster of a new quick-and-dirty MMO news site, will be your host today.

In the last edition of The Queue, you gave me just under four pages of /facepalm-like emotes. So I thought I'd just /facepalm the entire WoW.com community.

Do existing dungeons still have the same gear? Do I need to grab a Whitemane's Chapeau before Cataclysm so it isn't gone forever?



From what I can tell, the dungeons have the same-looking gear, but with different stats and item levels. Of course, there are probably specific cases where this isn't true, so if you want a particular item for RP purposes, I'd pick it up now.

What kind of stats will tanks be looking for in Cataclysm? I know they're getting rid of defense, shield block, etc., so what do tanks have to look for as far as survivability?

Dodge, parry, stamina, armor -- all those stats are going to be more important in Cataclysm than they are now, given we don't have to worry about defense and shield block. I'm also not seeing anything to suggest that tanks won't just be stamina-stacking again.

And, of course, there'll be several DPS stats that are interesting to tanks, like hit.

What's the status of the vehicle mechanic in Cataclysm?

Vehicle mechanics are the same as they are now (but many are currently broken in Cataclysm). Blizzard has used vehicles for several quests, and I'm not going to be surprised to see them pop up in raids again.
