The Queue: 6 days and counting

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Mathew McCurley will be your host today.

It's almost here! It's almost here!

Croe asked:

I've noticed with the new cooking dailies that there appears to be a limit of 10 tokens that you can collect. Is that a bug? Has anyone gotten more than 10 at a time?

I believe that there is a limit imposed to make you spend your Chef's Awards, as opposed to just storing them up and not doing anything with them. The previous incarnation, the Dalaran Cooking Award, was fairly useless after you had your Chef's Hat, enough spices and all of the cooking recipes. Sure, you could trade in your awards for spices and sell them, but the market wasn't ever really vibrant, at least on my server.

Also (as was stated in the comments), putting a relatively small cap on the number of Chef's Awards means that a new cooking currency does not have to be implemented every expansion, because you cannot save up hundreds of cooking awards to buy everything at the outset. I am a fan of the new system.

The new Chef's Awards can be used to purchase new recipes. There's also a Crate of Tasty Meat for two awards, which contains cooking materials that can be sold or made into your own personal food. There is still something to get with the awards, and the cap prevents stockpiling.

Aikou asked:

Since worgens are their own mount, is there any point in becoming exalted with Gilneas? Are there gonna be mounts offered to those who are not worgen?

Exalted reputation with Gilneas counts towards the reputations achievement, and wearing the nation's tabard counts towards the tabard achievement. Also, having exalted with Gilneas gives you access to some nice leveling cloaks at the new Gilneas Quartermaster. As for being exalted for a mount, you're out of luck.

Settle down, Hal.

Dalixam asked:

Does the Alliance have a flight path somewhere in Hillsbrad now that Southshore is gone? I can't find any.

Hillsbrad has gone exclusively Horde after the Shattering.

Don't forget that this Friday, we're putting on a special live edition of the WoW Insider Show, starting at 1p.m. Eastern. There will be a chat room, we'll take questions -- you know the drill. Check back to the site for details soon, but suffice to say, it will be a lot of fun with some potential surprises and a whole lot of Cataclysm discussion and fun. See you all there!
