Ask Massively: Ham edition
Readers, today is a sad day indeed. Having exhausted my longstanding well of topics that were either based in Dadaist absurdity or random personal anecdotes, I'm left to unveil my most desperate weapon -- an edition based entirely on ham. Consider the ham. Within the ham there could be the answers to all of life's questions, or perhaps there's just salty meat with a light mustard and honey glaze to create a firm yet not crispy exterior. Which is the truth? We'll never know.
You will, however, know a bit more about what's going on behind the scenes of the site with this week's edition of Ask Massively. Sadly, we don't have our usual assortment of site gossip, but we do have answers about a few features and some discussion of the upcoming online-maybe Dragon Quest X. There should be a close box in the upper right-hand corner. This seems to mostly be an issue when browsing the full site on mobile devices, from my experience; the mobile site does not tend to experience the same issues. (Anecdotal advice, of course, is andecdotal.)

It's been considered but is apparently problematic due to technical issues. If you don't like a comment or don't think it's relevant, downrating is always an option. And in the event that you think someone is crossing a line, there's always the report feature.
JuliusSeizure asked: Any thoughts on the next Dragon Quest being sort of maybe kinda a bit like an MMO possibly (or at least having a subscription only online mode)?
Speaking personally, I'd say the Dragon Quest series has never quite done it for me. Maybe it's the art style, maybe it's the decidedly baroque approach to console traditions, maybe I'm still bitter about accidentally selecting "yes" when I was facing down the final boss in the first game. Still, all signs point to it not quite being a full MMO, not to mention it'll likely be stuck with console limitations. It's going to be interesting to see how it develops, as this is a first for the series, and if it reaches a full status, we'll doubtlessly be keeping a close watch on it.
