Starbreeze concocting new IP with film director
Starbreeze Studios, which has its hands full with the Syndicate reboot, announced today that it is working on a new intellectual property. In collaboration with film director Josef Fares (pictured, right, with Starbreeze CEO Mikael Nermark) and The Story Lab AB, Starbreeze is currently developing the concept after being won over by a prototype. No release window was provided for the game.
Starbreeze is known for The Chronicles of Riddick games and The Darkness. Fares is known in Sweden for movies like Jalla! Jalla!, Kopps, Zozo and other stuff that isn't available on Netflix.

STARBREEZE WORKS WITH AWARD WINNING FILM DIRECTOR AND SCRIPTWRITER WITH A NEW IP
UPPSALA, SWEDEN September 19, 2011. Today Starbreeze AB announced that they are developing a new IP together with award winning film director Josef Fares and The Story Lab AB.
"I love games, and I have been working on a games concept for quite some time. The more I worked with the concept, the more convinced I felt that this is a solid game idea" says Josef Fares. "Together with Story Lab we created a prototype that we presented to Starbreeze, and they instantly liked the concept."
"Just minutes into Josef's presentation we knew that this was a game that we wanted to develop, and we started to work on the concept the very same day" says Mikael Nermark, CEO Starbreeze.
Josef Fares became a household name in Sweden with the box office hit "Jalla! Jalla!" (2000), and since then has delivered blockbusters such as "Kopps" (2003), "Zozo" (2005) and "Farsan" (2010). Now Fares can add Game Designer to his CV.
