NINTENDO 3DS GETS A PINK MAKEOVER

Nintendo offers European fans a Coral Pink Nintendo 3DS bundled with nintendogs + cats

25th October, 2011 – Now here's a bundle which will tickle you pink. Nintendo is launching a new Coral Pink Nintendo 3DS™ which you can pick up in Europe from 18th November, bundled with a copy of nintendogs™ + cats, offering a purrrrfect gift for Christmas.

Nintendo 3DS, the latest handheld console from Nintendo, offers portable entertainment in 3D without the need for special glasses. With the ability to play Nintendo 3DS games in full 3D or a huge range of Nintendo DS™ and Nintendo DSi™ games in 2D*, Nintendo 3DS offers the best handheld gaming experience for everyone. Take 3D photographs and capture those special moments in 3D video** or access an array of online and downloadable content such as games, demos and movie trailers via the Nintendo eShop. Content like cartoons, music videos and video clips will also download automatically to the console via the SpotPass™ service, and data can be shared wirelessly with other users via the StreetPass™ function.

Now for the first time, your portable pooch has a feline friend to play with and your puppy can take walks with you whilst you're on the move! Dog and cat lovers alike will have the chance to carry around their adorable puppy or kitten in their pocket. nintendogs + cats offers lifelike 3D graphics and interactivity which creates a fully immersive experience. Your cute puppy will seemingly come alive as he recognises your face using the Nintendo 3DS inner camera, follows your head movements and appears to pop out of the screen to lick you. Once you have his attention, use the stylus and microphone to teach him a variety of tricks through voice commands such as "give paw" or "lie down".

With a mass of customisation options available; the ability to meet other owners and puppies, swap items and 3D photos via StreetPass; and AR Cards which make your puppy or kitten literally leap around on the table in front of you by using Augmented Reality - this truly has to be seen to be believed.

If you already own nintendogs + cats and like the sound of a Coral Pink Nintendo 3DS, then do not worry as you'll be able to get your paws on your very own Coral Pink console later this year.

Don't forget that you can also play the more than 1000 Nintendo DS and Nintendo DSi games* on your Nintendo 3DS, as it is compatible with all of these games. For more information on Nintendo 3DS, visit www.nintendo.co.uk

* Nintendo DS and Nintendo DSi games can be played in 2D only
** 3D Video Recording function will be made available following the system update in November

DREAMING OF A WHITE NINTENDO 3DS CHRISTMAS

Perfect gift this Christmas - Nintendo set to launch SUPER MARIO 3D LAND and Ice White Nintendo 3DS bundle

25th October, 2011 – Mario fans will be able to get a white Christmas regardless of any snow fall this year, when the SUPER MARIO 3D LAND™ and Ice White Nintendo 3DS™ bundle launches across Europe on 18th November. The perfect shade for winter fun, this Nintendo 3DS bundle will help anyone beat those winter blues with a little help from Mario.

SUPER MARIO 3D LAND is filled with fresh new Mario gameplay and brand new levels that draws on both newer 3D Mario titles such as Super Mario Galaxy ™ (Wii ™ ) and classic side-scrolling Mario titles like Super Mario Bros. ™ 3 (NES ™ ) and New Super Mario Bros. ™ (Nintendo DS™). Everything you love about Mario is back but with some fun new twists exclusive to Nintendo 3DS. SUPER MARIO 3D LAND offers something for everyone whether you are new to Mario games or a diehard fan.

Mario comes to life in the palm of your hand in the Mushroom Kingdom for this all new adventure. Mario's arch rival Bowser is up to his old tricks again, Princess Peach has been kidnapped and only you can rescue her. To help you in your adventure you can use a mixture of brand new and classic abilities such as the Tanooki Suit, Propeller Box, Boomerang Mario and binoculars to name a few.

The popular Tanooki Suit returns allowing you to float in mid air and use the cute tail to attack enemies, whilst Boomerang Mario provides an interesting twist on the classic Boomerang Bros. enemies, as Mario dons a blue shell and helmet and has the ability to immobilise his enemies with a boomerang. The Propeller Box allows Mario to fly high in the air and reach hidden areas, while the binoculars placed within some stages allow you to shift perspective to first person and survey the vivid and colourful landscapes. By using the unique motion controls of the Nintendo 3DS to move the field of vision of the binoculars, you can spot enemies, obstacles and even hidden objectives.

The new SUPER MARIO 3D LAND and Ice White Nintendo 3DS bundle launches across Europe from 18th November and the Ice White console also will be available on its own in December. Featuring a copy of the game and an Ice White Nintendo 3DS, the bundle is the perfect present for any family member this Christmas.

Nintendo 3DS offers Parental Controls so that parents can control the level of 3D their children can view on the Nintendo 3DS as well as the content they can access. Nintendo 3DS also features a 3D depth slider which lets players turn off or adjust the level of 3D they want on the 3D Screen, two built-in screens for different functionality, a Circle Pad which provides a full 360 degrees of direction, a built-in motion sensor and gyro sensor, and houses a 2GB SD Memory Card. It is equipped with three cameras (two of which are facing outwards to allow the taking of 3D pictures and video*), and is compatible with AR Cards which come packaged with Nintendo 3DS. Nintendo 3DS is also backwards compatible with most existing Nintendo DS and Nintendo DSi games, which can be played in 2D on your Nintendo 3DS system.
