Plants vs. Zombies iPhone receives holiday update, 'I, Zombie' mode

Plants vs. Zombies for iPhone has received an update for the holidays, featuring festive cheer, minor user improvements and the "I, Zombie" mode. The new mode allows you to take on the role of the invading zombies -- a feature previously implemented in the PC, Mac, XBLA and DS versions of the game.

The update also includes GameCenter leaderboard support for the first time, and adds four new achievements and "Bronze, Silver and Gold Mystery Sprouts." Now, go and clear the zombies so Santa can have a clear LZ!

PopCap Releases Holiday Update to Plants vs. Zombies™ for iPhone®
I, Zombie Mode Added; all-new leader board allows players to compete with friends and fans

SEATTLE, WA - December 15th , 2011- PopCap Games, the worldwide leader in casual video games, today released a holiday update to its smash hit Plants vs. Zombies™ for the iPhone®. While your favourite PvZ characters deck the halls and don festive hats, the update also adds highly anticipated content such as the I, Zombie mode, which allows players to play on the zombie side of the garden. Boasting one free level (with 8 additional levels and Endless mode available for in-app purchase through Crazy Dave's shop), I, Zombie has been hugely successful in the PC, Mac, XBLA and DS adaptations of the game and is sure to be a major holiday bonus for PvZ iPhone fans.

The update also introduces leader boards including GameCenter leader board support for the first time, so players can get even more social during the festive season and beyond by comparing their scores with friends and fans alike.

Also included are four new achievements – Better Off Dead, I,Win, Where the Sun don't Shine, and Undead Space – as well as the introduction of Bronze, Silver and Gold Mystery Sprouts.
