Gazillion is bringing two of its free-to-play MMOs to the Old Continent this summer. Marvel Super Hero Squad Online and Fortune Online are being released in Europe under the oversight of ProSiebenSat.1 Digital, a German media publisher that's previously been responsible for releasing games in the region from the likes of Nintendo and Sony. Both games are browser-based, so ProSiebenSat.1 Digital's main responsibility will be connecting Gazillion's titles to a new European audience.

We assume, of course, that they'll also be responsible for taking both games around to see the sights while they're visiting. They're both currently in beta, but they'll be out for release as soon as they've taken in the requisite tours of the Lourve and the Tower of London.

Premier German Media Company to Launch Marvel Super Hero Squad Online and Fortune Online Across Europe with Unprecedented Cross-Media Marketing Support

SAN MATEO, Calif., July 7, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Gazillion Entertainment, a leading developer, publisher and operator of premium browser-based games, today announced that two free-to-play massively multiplayer online games– the kids' game Marvel Super Hero Squad Online and the online action RPG Fortune Online – will be launched across Europe by ProSiebenSat.1 Digital, a division of ProSiebenSat.1 Group, a leading German media corporation. With this deal in place, ProSiebenSat.1 Digital will be delivering unprecedented, broadly based cross media promotional support as well as operating Gazillion's online games in Europe.

Marvel Super Hero Squad Online offers players the chance to team up with friends as they engage in exhilarating combat, show off their decked-out squad in the game's social spaces, collect thousands of items, and explore interactive environments based on classic and new Marvel worlds. Based on Marvel's Super Hero Squad intellectual property that has spawned a wildly popular action figure line and smash-hit animated series, the game draws upon the 5,000-plus iconic heroes and villains in the Marvel Universe.

In Fortune Online thousands of items are waiting to be looted from the cold, dead hands of evil. Players join their friends in synchronous multiplayer dungeon raids. If they work together to survive the swarms of undead, they'll rise from simple commoner to epic hero. Endless adventures await, so slay now!

Both games are browser-based, so players can hop in anytime, anywhere. It's simple to log in and play from a web browser at home or work.

"ProSiebenSat.1 Digital is a fantastic partner to have supporting and operating our products in the European market," said Scott Rupp, SVP of Business Development for Gazillion Entertainment. "This partnership pairs the cross-platform marketing power of one of Europe's media leaders with Gazillion's premium free to play browser games."

"Gazillion's goal is to deliver entertaining console-quality games through the browser around the world," continued John Needham, CEO of Gazillion Entertainment. "Part of our strategy in bringing our titles to international audiences is to work with world class partners like ProSieben."

"We are thrilled to be partners with Gazillion and have access to such high-quality content geared to mass audiences, which is also the focus of ProSiebenSat.1," commented Markus Buechtmann, Head of Games for ProSiebenSat.1 Digital. "Super Hero Squad Online and Fortune Online are ahead of the curve as high quality, free-to-play browser delivered games. They have tremendous potential and we look forward to introducing these games to European players."
