WRUP: Pugs of War

We don't know why anyone even tries to reach Level 50 in Gears of War 3's Horde mode with a pug. They're worthless, it's like herding cats. They don't even have thumbs.

• Ben Gilbert (@BigBossBgilbert): Between bouts of run/prone/run/prone/run/prone/shoot in Battlefield 3's beta, I'll be sinking time into the currently on sale Outland and trying to figure out why people prefer the Kinect control option in Child of Eden (spoilers: I won't figure it out because it's not very fun using the Kinect to play Child of Eden).

• Christopher Grant (@ChrisGrant): I'm actually splitting my time between the long-since released Sherlock Holmes vs. Jack the Ripper and the not-yet released Rage, which I think balances out quite nicely. If I'm not playing one of those, I should probably check out Horde and Beast modes in Gears of War 3, eh?

• David Hinkle (@DaveHinkle): The playoffs kick off this weekend (that's sports, you guys) so I'm kinda pumped for that. In my downtime, I'll be playing mostly Gears of War 3 -- eh, who am I kidding? That's all I'm going to play.
