The Queue: Tentacle face

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Adam Holisky (@adamholisky) will be your host today.

Warlock tier 13.

Either Cthulhu took over or I'm stuck in one of those really, really strange anime.

Rhuarc asked:

Last night I was looking through guild perks and noticed they changed the name of the G-mail perk to Guild Mail. When did this happen? And have their ever been other changes like this in game, where a witty pop culture reference is suddenly changed, if so what and when?

It has certainly been changed, but when exactly, I couldn't say. My guess is the last patch, though. As to why, well, we have no idea really. I have three educated guesses, though:

1. Google complained, and Blizzard changed it.
2. Someone in Blizzard's legal department didn't like it and got it changed, even with no Google complaints.
3. It was confusing from a gameplay element; people might have been thinking they could access their Gmail accounts with the perk.

Laugh at number three ... but when my mom (and your mom, heh- heh, your mom [yes, that's what The Queue has come to, Your Mom jokes]) sees Gmail, she expects Gmail, not something else.

Mmcpattillo asked:

Q for the Q: Was there a change implemented to the LFD Call to Arms Goodie Bags? It seems that currently, you only get the bag if the option is there when your queue pops, while before you got the bag if the option was there when you queued.

As was mentioned in the comments, there's been talk that there's a bug in the Dungeon Finder UI that's not showing the goodie bag icon in all appropriate situations. I've noticed this a few times as well on my healer, and I've always gotten the bag as a reward, as long as I queue when the goodie bag icon is present.

Whig asked:

My Retribution tier set has no matching boots and belt. Both the VP pieces and the raid drops match the DK or Warrior sets.

Am I just expected to save up even more VP, buy the holy tier pieces (which do match) and mog them? Am I a fashion victim?

Sounds like you are. I'm in the same boat with my warlock. I mean, who the hell wants to run around as Tentacle Face when I could look like a badass healer with their valor helm? I'm mogging into that the first chance I get.

Remember that (especially if you're raiding) valor points will become essentially useless in a few weeks when you're fully 397-equipped. That, or wait until MoP, when the items (theoretically) drop down to justice rewards. Either way, since it's not a mechanics issue, it's not a game-breaking thing.
